The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued its advance in eastern Damascus on May 4.
The SAA, led by the 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard, stormed the remaining militant defense lines in the southeastern part of the embattled Qaboun district capturing a large number of buildings from Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and the Al-Rahman Corps.
At the same time, it was reported that dozens of militants from HTS and the Al-Rahman Corps fled the Al-Qaboun district and arrived the Eastern Ghouta through undisclosed tunnels in eastern Damascus. After abandoning Al-Qaboun district, they will now help in the fight against Jaish al-Islam in the Eastern Ghouta.
Some pro-governent sources say that the Al-Qaboun district is expected to be recaptured by government forces in the coming few days as a result of another withdrawal agreement with local militants. Negotiations have reportedly started on the issue.

If the negotiations fail to achieve a success, clashes will continue in the area. However, even in this case, government forces will have a upper hand in the battle for Qaboun.
Meanwhile, a fighting between armed groups continued in the Eastern Ghouta area in the Damascus countryside. The Al-Rahman Corps and its allies from HTS launched a counter-attack against Jaish al-Islam in the town of Arbeen.
The Al-Rahman Corps and the HTS seized a major part of the town after a fierce battle with Jaish al-Islam members.
According to local sources, the Al-Rahman Corps and the HTS surrounded the remaining positions of Jaish al-Islam in Arbeen, trying to force the remaining militants to surrender. Nonetheless, Jaish al-Islam members have refused to do this so far.
Jaish al-Islam is now under attack in several locations in Eastern Ghouta where the Al-Rahman Corps and HTS are trying to seize bases of Jaish al-Islam in this rural area.

Fighting in streets and houses is very hard. Give them two days to break through towards the Special Forces Command and more days to get the rest.
Bear in mind, in east Damascus the SAA are dealing with worst kind of urban warfare – against entrenched, well armed, militants in fortified concrete structures with deep supply tunnels – it takes lot of time and lot of manpower to besiege these militants in built-up districts.

The war in Syria will not consume mankind, Armageddon is the valley of Megiddo in Israel. The armies of the world will be stationed in that valley after the conquest of Jerusalem.

What the hell is wrong with you. You think the world is a fary tale place? Jaish al islam are filthy terrorists, they deserve no mercy from the SAA. They are probably lucky if the SAA gets them alive, if other groups get them they wish they’d be dead already.
JAI is peaceful with SAA in most areas. SAA also allowed them to transfer some forces along govt controlled roads to fight ISUS. This is a moderate group.

Good move for all SAA soldiers who participated to clear rodents from Syria land. Now either they will go back to Saudi Arabia or they will come to US as refugees and that was only chance their survival. Those people brought suffering of cilivians to peaceful country. If we are talking about is the only arab country which respect Human rights for all of its citizens. When we look at Saudi Arabia there were alot of human violations hence many tend not to speak about because they are United States friends.
