The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has scored a major victory by liberating one of the biggest urban centers in the southeastern Idlib countryside.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the army captured the town of al-Tah in the afternoon of December 22. Al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its allies withdrew from the town without any resistance.

Earlier, the SAA imposed fire control over al-Tah after capturing the nearby town of Muaysirunah and several positions north and east of the town’s center.
The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that 106 militants have been killed since the beginning of the SAA operation in southeast Idlib earlier this week. The vast majority of the slain militants were fighting in the ranks of al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and other Jihadi groups.
The liberation of al-Tah is a major blow to HTS and it allies, which lost more than 20 towns in southeast Idlib over the last 48 hours.

Supreme effort is really putting the twisted jihadi headchoppers on the back foot. With this fierce onslaught SAA has put themselves in striking distance of Jarjanaz, HTS and their acolytes are fighting for their lives and extracting a price from the SAA as the Yanki and IsraHelli scum intended. How much ISIS gold have the Yanki serpents paid HTS commanders to get their grunts to relinquish their mortal coil? I wonder if a series of leaflet drops over HTS resistance line might weaken their resolve? Forward and onward to the Syrian Arab Army who are on the front line of the battle to save the world.

The only thing that has me puzzled is why every advance by the SAA into Idlib has been into Southern Idlib. Whereas to the North Jihadis and their artillery sit right next to Syria’s biggest city ready to pound it. Logic would deduce that securing Syria’s biggest city from Jihadi artillery would be a major priority. Yet no offensive operations have happened on this front since 2016. Even securing Latakia seems to have some priority, with the 4th division launching one unsuccessful attack against Kabani after the other. Yet nothing for Aleppo. So I wonder, why the continued focus in Southern Idlib? What strategic objectives are there in this area?
I think they are pushing them into one place again. Just a thought.

kabani proved difficult so they want to surround the terrorist and divert thier mind from that place . and also same for Aleppo the Adnan plain will be difficult and plus many observeration pos of Turkey are very near to each other . so it has to be surrounded with pincer attack from back which will be from Abu dhur and sought idlib . main think is SAA want to cut idlib into 2 east and west
The foreign Jihadists and more fanatical local groups are much more highly concentrated in the northern areas of Idlib, Hama, Latakia, and Aleppo, and the closer you get to the Turkish border the more concentrated and more fanatical they are, so fighting them will be no different to fighting Isis, religious Zealots always make the very best fighters, martyrdoms a reward for them so they have no fear, [just like child soldiers only smarter]. But apart from that fact most of the terrorists also have their families living with them in the northern areas, that’s going to make it doubly hard for the Russians and SAAF to provide air support to ground troops, at least not without inflicting high civilian casualties in the process, so I think it’ll be a hard fight up north because of that. Remember what Goutah was like for civilian casualties, the north will be the same or more likely much worse. Most of the civilian population living in the bottom two thirds of Idlib have already agreed to a reconciliation agreement with the Syrian government, so most of the towns and villages in the south of Idlib will welcome the SAA with open arms when they arrive, but the ones closer to the Turkish border [especially Idlib and Latakia] will be sending their wives and children to the front lines to fight, no towns in the north have reconciled with the government, YET. So to cut a long story short, I think Assad’s wise to take back the easy areas of southern Idlib first, and when he’s done that concentrate on the tougher northern areas last, Latakia and Hama, then Aleppo next [where Assad has some Kurdish friends to help him], and then the hard nut of northern Idlib left for last. Idlibs a huge pressure cooker right now, so pushing north from the south helps drives the terrorists and the displaced people north towards Turkey, which then effectively crams them in even tighter increasing the pressure, and when the pressure cooker finally explodes it can only explode one way, in Turkey’s direction, and when that eventually happens the tough northern areas will be much easier to take back. If there’s no ceasefire enforced on the SAA to stop them, I think we may be just days or weeks away from an end to this war in Idlib, Erdogan’s already warning the EU he’s going to send any newcomers straight to Greece, so he must be pretty worried he’s about to lose control of his border.
The closer the SAA get to the Turkish border the more likely it is the Turks will use their aircraft/artillery/missiles/rockets to assist the terrorists, especially if they can do it from their side of the border, so another reason to leave the north until last.

Hey, good damn work. SAA.. ROLL RIGHT TO THE M-5 highway and cut off any line or retreat those terrorists may have. Cut them off then cut them up. They know IDLIB IS ON THE VERGE OF BEING LIBERATED.

Withdrew without any resistance … . These demons are looking ahead to what is going to happen to them after what they have been doing to innocent people for the last ten years. They must have realized they are expendable cannon fodder, abandoned by the Zio CIA and there are doubtless many who would like a pound of flesh preferably extracted without anesthesia just as the head-chopper demons did to their helpless victims.
