AlMasdarNews reports: The Syrian Arab Army, alongside Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary), continued their large-scale advance in eastern Aleppo on Sunday, targeting the area around the recently captured Al-‘Oweija District and Jandoul Roundabout.
Led by the 102nd Brigade of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Armed Forces stormed the large hilltop of Tal Sifan on Sunday, resulting in a fierce battle with the Islamist rebels of Fatah Halab that lasted for several hours.
Backed by Russian airstrikes, the Syrian Armed Forces were able to break-through Fatah Halab’s main line of defense at Tal Sifan; this led to the complete withdrawal of the Islamist rebels that were originally positioned at this large hilltop.
Tal Sifan overlooks the Jandoul Roundabout and it is strategically situated at the southwestern axis of the Al-‘Oweija District.
