The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are competing for the oil and gas fields on the eastern bank of the Euphrates.
According to pro-ISIS sources, the terorrist group is clashing with SAA units that crossed to the eastern bank near Mayadin city. ISIS aims to stop the government advance near Dabyan village. Thus, government troops most likely make attempts to create a foothold for a further push in the area.
So far, it is not clear if the SAA could strengthen its positions on the eastern bank near Mayadin. There is a significant chance that SAA units may be forced to retreat back to the western bank.
At the same time, the SDF reportdly launched an advance east of the Jafra oil field and its reconnaissance units deployed in about 8km from the strategic Omar oil fields.
If ISIS continues focusing on the SAA that tries to develop momentum near Dabyan, the SDF will likely reach the Omar oil fields earlier than government troops are able to do so.

YEAHHHH!! According to reliable sources within the SAA, they have finally reached al Omar field and is currently battling for control. Apparently, the government media refused to report this advance because they didn’t want SDF to advance faster towards the oil fields and beat the SAA there. Now they are literally meters away and are currently battling Isis inside Al-omar.

Its intriguing that as it right; there are plenty of evidence that both SDF and Isis parties have some connections between them trough proxies which support them. Why is this evidence not shown publicity trough some sort of court. These atrocities which are going on in Syria for more then 6 years now are done because of proxie support and these people need to be bring to the court and have full open trial so that everyone can see what they done. This maps shows the Azaz turkish colony to be mostly kurdish, something everybody denied at the time turks invaded the region.
The whole area bewteen Kobane and Serenikiya was part kurdish too as both Tel Abyad and Raqqah had some c25% kurdish population.
DeZ was mostly arab but who cares? SDF is multi ethnic and within Northern Syria, there will be local autonomy under a multi ethnic umbrella.
So a local DeZ Civil Council would likely be either fully arab or largely arab.

The SAA should start a random artillery shelling of the entire Omar Field, with “air burst” anti personnel shells. The SDF will not risk going any farther South. Any ISIS in the oil field will have to retreat.
They should run a few sorties and bomb directly in front of the SDF, give them a fright, let them know what they’re in for if they keep coming, it’s bizarre they are not sending some kind of message.
I do not think those that fought the brutal close quarter urban fighting in Kobane, Hassakah, Manbij, Raqqah and DeZ will be much impressed by a few sorties directly in fromt of them. It might work better on SAA forces though.

SAA have done more fighting and winning than the YPG. SAA has attacked, fought and defeated ISIS more times than the YPG…. !!! In fact in 2017 … SAA was the primary opponent of ISIS.
