On May 13, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the Palestinian Liberation Army (PLA) continued their advance in the northern part of the al-Hajar al-Aswad district in southern Damascus and captured several buildings around the town hall from ISIS, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
The SANA added that warplanes of the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) had destroyed many fortifications and trenches of ISIS in al-Hajar al-Aswad and the Yarmouk refugee camp, east of it.
Meanwhile, the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq claimed that ISIS fighters had conducted hit and run attacks on two positions fo the SAA in al-Hajar al-Aswad and the Yarmouk camp. ISIS fighters killed 16 soldiers and officers of the SAA and captured several weapons, according to Amaq.
Local observers believe that the SAA and its allies will impose their full control of the last positions of ISIS in the northern part of al-Hajar al-Aswad district within a few days. Once this district is secured, the ISIS defense in the Yarmouk camp will likely collapse.

Brainwashed head choppers fighting and dying for israhell,What a sick fucked up world we live in ,A curse on fake warmongering Zionist jjews.
Does anyone know why the Syrian army doesn’t seem to be using flame throwers and flame throwing tanks in such situation? Isn’t that the conventinal way of flushing out an enemy in such tight quarters ever since it proved very effective in WWII?
WWII style flamethrowers are not safe for operators, and are not in use for decades. Closest thing in current use are thermobaric weapons. TOS-1A and RPO-A Shmel are modern day flamethrowers (O stands for огнемет – flamethrower). Syria is using both, although I haven’t seen them in this battle.
What do you think civil groups or that bitch Haley would make of that? Probably calling dr. Bashar an inquisitor…
That’s what happen when you fight for an imaginary friend. XD.
If you think that sunnis will understand how stupid they are after all this shit, you are wrong.
This is fight between ME countries and Israel. Israel want to secure their stolen land.
There are also christians but what drive them is not their religion but their love for their country. The fact that they are sunnis or shias or whatever is irrelevant because they put their religion is second and their country first.
Don’t understand why people love to fight for ideologies. No one is right, so why killing your own people ? Abrahamic religions are just like others ideologies, communism, liberalism, human rights ideology, egalitarism, …. No one works but people kill and die for these garbage.
Abrahamic religions = brain damaged people.
Here you are wrong. No body kill any body for religion. Infact this is fight between Syrians and Israeli migrants. ISIS and Al-Qaeda both are tools of Israel by which Israel fighting against Syria and their allies. The ISIS commanders spoken English is better than Syrians. I have founded this difference in 2014 when I listened ISIS commanders orders live on TV.
Why doesn’t the SAA simply storm the whole town right now? They have the troops, ISIS isn’t expecting it, and it offers the chance for a single massive prisoner bag.
Most likely the troops most suitable for that, Tiger Forces and 5th Asault Corps, are being deployed to other front sectors. The Rastan pocket was far more important strategically then a few ISIS nutjobs holed up in an unimportant suburb. Another operation in Idlib seems to be coming up soon, and then there are the reports of Jihadis around Daraa preparing for battle.
And why wouldn’t ISIS expect it? They’ve been under attack for weeks now.
There cannot be attacking in Idlib, it is in de-escalation zone, deal between Turkey-Iran-Russia. They are Turkey and Russia are building observation posts specially for that reason, to not have any escalation in that region, no wars nothing. The only reason to attack Idlib governorate is if Turkey and Iran and Russia fail to find an agreement, but now there are too many Russian MPs, and a lot of Turkish Soldiers so no one storms nothing until Russia and Turkey say so. Pretty much all is set like that for Idlib for now.
There is the case of of the town of Jish al Shigur (sp?) and its adjacent plains which is rumored to be the target of an upcoming offensive, with permission of Turkey, as the Jiihadis use this area to launch attacks against the Russian air base. And the Russians do seem to want to safeguard that base.
And what you think they are doing playing games, they are storming from 3 directions LOL, I don’t know how you imagine your storming, like WWII like all run yourish yelling and running. My God you r just idiot
He probably imagines it like Banzai charge…
That’s what I thought too, Banzai!!!!! LOL!!!
Again being an online troll doesn’t make a military expert, the only thing you know is bull shit posting.
