The Syrian Armed Forces, supported by the National Defense Forces (NDF), continue its attacks on the terrorists’ positions in Eastern and Western Ghouta in near Damascus, recapturing more strategic positions.

According to battlefield sources, Syrian troops have continued its advances in the areas southwest and southeast of Khan al-Sheih, while other units of the Syrian Army broke through defense lines of the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (previously known as the Al-Nusra Front or the Jabhat al-Nusra) terrorist group in Deir al-Khabiyeh and seized more key positions. At the same time, Syrian soldiers have started to strengthen positions, captured by them during the last two days.
Meanwhile, concentration centers of the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham and the Faylaq al-Rahman in al-Reihan, Douma and Arbin farms were bombed by Syrian fighter jets. As result, several positions in Tal Kurdi farms and Rahbat al-Isharah in the direction of the Bin Sina hospital were won back by the Syrian Forces.
At the same time, artillery units of the Syrian Army shelled positions of the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham at heights east of al-Zabadani, as well as repelled a terrorists’ attack in Elhameh. Currently, a battle between Syrian troops and terrorists is underway in the al-Bireh factory and al-Oyoun.
On Monday, terrorists of the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham were pushed back from a strategic region in Western Ghouta and were chased by Syrian soldiers in the framework of a rapid cleaning operation. As result, terrorists suffered heavy losses and left scores of dead ‘brothers-in-arms,’ weapons and ammunition, retreating from the battlefield, while the Syrian Army took full control over Deir al-Khabiyeh and its surrounding areas. A tank and several vehicles, equipped with heavy machine guns of the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham terrorist group were also destroyed during the army’s attacks.
Ten kilometers of Deir al-Khabiyeh’s surroundings were liberated by the government forces, which are currently advancing towards the town of al-Wadi. At the moment, the Syrian Armed Forces have total control over the Deir al-Khabiyeh-Maraneh road.
