On May 24, the Free Syrian Army (FSA) operations room in southern Syria known as “al-Bunyan al-Marsous” announced that FSA fighters had shelled a large convoy of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) after it arrived to the Shilka Battalion in the northern part of the city of Daraa.
Syrian pro-government sources didn’t report any loses as a result of the FSA shelling and the SAA didn’t response to the shelling yet.
The deployment of these troops in Daraa is a part of the ongoing preparation of the SAA and its allies to launch a large-scale military operation in southern Syria against the FSA and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). According to initial reports, the SAA 4th Division, the Republican Guard and the Tiger Forces will participate in the operation that will be backed by the Russian Aerospace Force.
On the other hand, Iran is not planning to join the upcoming military operation as Iran’s ambassador to Jordan Mojtaba Ferdosipour told the Jordanian al-Ghad newspaper on May 23.
Syrian pro-government activists believe that the city of Daraa, the Nassib border crossing with Jordan and large areas of the eastern and northeastern Daraa countryside are among the targets of the upcoming military operation. The operation could expand later to include parts of the western Daraa countryside and even al-Quneitra governorate, according to the activists.

When the SAA liberated Sheikh Maskin after fierce fights, they opened the gates to Daaraa. Now its the time to finish the job. Good luck heroes!
So… The FSA (it is neither free nor Syrian) “just happened” to H&I an SAA convoy. Who are their spotters?
Either CENTCOM spotting (sadly enough, SOCCENT tasking I would imagine) or intel spooks from the Israel Child-Sniper Forces. That is, if this was actually an aimed field artillery attack vs. HTS head-choppers dragging around a beat-up 82mm Soviet mortar and lobbing a few rusty rounds ‘towards’ the SAA base 4 km away.

Iran will not participate, and it is sitting bull shi,,ng with Syrias enemy Jordan, WTF! JORDAN, where the largest contingent of Syria’s enemy are located, NATO and FSA? Jordan where Qatar has US license to build MRAPS and other assorted US designed battle and R&R of new armored vehicles , that then cross into Syria driven by NATO TRAINED TERRORIST? Jordan where every NATO and non NATO nations Spec Forces jump into armored HUMVEE to do surveillance and direct terrorist and Israeli and even Norwegian and Finn snipers kill Syrians? The geopolitical situation does not bode well for Syria or in long run Iran as Jordan is also very tight with UAE and Saudi Arabia. Jordan’s King has made no secret that he would like to extend his boundary into same as old Hashemite Kingdom years. Lands that would include a chunk of Syria.
