The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies have reportedly liberated the village of Sarha Shamali from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in the northeastern Hama countryside.
This was the recent in a series of advances of the SAA in the area which already led to a collapse of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham defense in a large area.

Other reports on that same battle say that the alledged SAA, likely Hezbollah, Iranians, lost 3 tanks and a 57mm cannon in those fights.
Will this be like the reporting on DeZ in 2016 and first half of 2017? Always SAA advancing but at the end of 1.5 years of fighting holding less then they did at the start?

What good did it do to ISIS to tighten the DeZ siege? It was broken as soon as the SAA reached it by land some months after Aleppo fell.
