The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) cut off a key militant supply line in the northern Hama countryside a few hours only after liberating the villages of al-Arbaeen and al-Zaka.
Syrian pro-government sources said that the supply line, which links the key towns of Kafr Zita and al-Lataminah, is now under the SAA’s fire control. Army units are reportedly targeting any militant that attempts to use the route.
“It [the SAA] is controlling the main route linking the two towns [Kafr Zita and al-Lataminah] by fire,” a Syrian military source said on August 7, according to Muraselon, a pro-government news outlet.
Kafr Zita and al-Lataminah are the hometowns of so-called Jaysh al-Izza, one of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) [al-Qaeda’s former branch in Syria] key allies in Greater Idlib.

Jaysh al-Izza, which received direct support from the U.S. between 2014 and 2017, could be witnessing its very last days, as the SAA is now preparing to storm both Kafr Zita and al-Lataminah.

Up until now the SAAF have been reducing all the small villages they’ve been retaking into piles of rubble before they recapture the area, but I thought it would be different for bigger towns, I thought these major Urban centres wouldn’t get the same treatment as those small villages did but I was wrong, it seems the SAAF is also reducing these larger town to rubble too before they retake them, especially Al Lataminah, I hope all the civilians have already left, because it’s looking a lot like this is the next town on the SAA list.
Exactly how do you root out rats who use hospitals and schools for their command posts and barracks? How do you separate the scum who use civilians as shields and shoot from behind civilians? Look to who financed, armed, and sent these murdering scum into Syria to destroy the legitimate government of Syria to find fault. The Zionists looking to “restore” “greater Israel”. You do exactly what the SAA are doing, you give the civilian population a very good reason to leave before you attack. Take a look at every town the SAA have recaptured so far, there’s nothing left there but rubble, maybe there’s a few burnt out vehicles and rebel corpses, but no civilians at all, dead or alive. If you’re wondering why there’s no civilians it’s because the SAA have evolved a strategy that helps encourage the civilians to move out. The SAA start off bombing the area they want to retake carefully avoiding hitting any of the civilians areas, but then on each successive air or artillery strike, they get closer and closer to the civilians, until finally all the civilian population move out. It’s more the fact they don’t get any sleep during these 24/7 bombing campaigns that’s mostly responsible for the civilians moving out, and even though the civilians know the SAA and SAAF won’t intentionally target them, maybe the thought that a few of those SAAF bombs and SAA artillery shells might accidently hit them is also a strong encouragement to move out. If you have any sympathy for the civilian population here I’m afraid that sympathy may be misguided, most of the civilians from the towns the SAA has already recaptured or is in the process of recapturing, left around May last year, and they left because they no longer support the rebels. Last year the rebels killed a lot of civilians here and also in Southern Idlib, they were tortured and killed because they wanted to start reconciliation talks with the Syrian government, and after that happened the civilians that wanted to switch sides just began moving out of their own accord. Now basically the only civilians that would be left living in these areas the SAA is trying to retake, would mostly be the family members of the rebel fighters themselves.
Please do not tear up the road. The people need the infrastructure and no one has the money to fix all this damage. Hopefully the Syrian government can sell oil and gas and rebuild. Then, let the people keep and bear arms so they are not helpless against Zionist mercenaries – have every Syrian be a citizen soldier ready to defend his family, village, town, farm, oil field, etc.
