On February 22, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) deployed fresh reinforcements along the frontlines in the northwestern governorate of Idlib.
The Ruptly agency released a video showing battle tanks, armored vehicles and howitzers heading to the southern Idlib countryside. Pro-government sources said that the reinforcements are from the army’s 5th Corps, which is known to be backed by Russia.
Two days ago, the SAA repelled a Turkish-led attack on its positions in southern Idlib. The Turkish military and its local proxies sustained catastrophic losses.
The army appears to be preparing for a new Turkish attack in southern Idlib. However, some activists claim that the reinforcements will support a new large-scale operation.
According to the activists, the new operation would be aimed at securing a vast region south of the M4 highway. The region would include the remaining militants’ positions in south and southwest Idlib as well as in northwest Hama.
A new military operation by the SAA will likely further provoke Turkey. Ankara had threatened to recapture the areas liberated by the SAA in its last operation before the end of this month.

As I have mentioned before and my analysis of the Syrian Arab Army since I was a young officer is that it is the best of the regular Arab fighting militaries, despite having been double crossed by Egyptian pimps and various other Wahhabi scum. The SAA despite attempted bribery, treachery and propaganda tools deployed by the Americunts, Turkeys and Saudi/UAE pimps has held out as a cohesive fighting force and is now much better placed to fight the terrorists indefinitely. Most people don’t realize that 80% of the officer corps and manpower is still Sunni Syrians who are committed to the country and its defence. Today Syrian armed forces is a motivated disciplined, de-centralization, technically evolving force mentored by the Russian Federation, Iran and Hezbollah.
The SAA today is also highly adaptable, flexible, lean and mobile enough to respond quickly to the new reality of the now primarily Turkeys sponsorship of terrorism and growing involvement on Syrian soil. The SAA controls almost all urban areas now and is in the process of regaining control of the Idlib terrorist enclave. Turkey meanwhile has no strategic plan or even an exit strategy from its self induced delusional pipe dream of occupying Syrian lands and creating a “neo-Ottoman” era on Arab lands, despite facing humiliating defeats a century ago at the hands of Arabs. There is already growing restlessness in the Turkish military as demoralized conscripts refuse to fight and there are rumblings of a coup in the officer corps as casualties rise in both Libya and Syria. The idiot Erdogan is now stuck in a costly hole and needs to get out of both Syria and Libya before the Turkey is really cooked. The SAA and its allies are getting started and will impose a very cost to the deadbeat Turkeys.
Considering the last election turnout and the votes cast for Assad, there cannot be too many Syrian’s who do not like their President.
