Syrian Army Destroys Militant Fortifications And Observation Equipment In Northern Lattakia (Videos)

Support SouthFront

On September 13, a source in the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) 4th Division told SouthFront that the army destroyed three fortified positions of militants in the northern Lattakia countryside with anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs).

Russian journalist, Oleg Blokhin, released a video showing one of the ATGM strikes, in which several militants were killed and injured. A second video, also taken by Blokhin, shows the SAA destroying a surveillance camera, which had been planted by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) fighters on a destroyed armored vehicle to monitor movements of the SAA.

Hundreds of militants are currently stationed in the opposition-held areas in northern Lattakia, mainly in the Turkmen mount, according to Syrian pro-government sources. Most of these terrorists are members of radical groups such as HTS, the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP), Horas al-Din and the Chechen-led Ajnad al-Kavkaz.

The situation in northern Lattakia is expected to escalate in the upcoming few hours, especially that the militants there shelled several civilian areas north of the city of Lattakia.

Strategically India very close to Russia, China and Pakistan instead of US. The India and US relations are not durable due to their own concerns. Similarly the India and Israel relations are also not durable due to illegal state of Israel, slaughtering of Palestinians and occupation of Palestinian country. Now India could decide to respect their neighbours and remain with them or to leave them all and permanently join US. I think the Indian nation will not let Indian government to leave strategic partners.

West had divided India. Therefore, India should not repeat the same mistake of their ancestors. US, UK, Israel and ISIS have no allies because they suck their allies.

The relations of India with US and Israel will expose whole region to new threats from US and Israel and therefore, will create instability in the whole region which Russia, China and Pakistan would not like to happen. Each country has their own privacy which they don’t wanna share with others.

In the first video we only see one, almasdar says it was a famous sniper, but I wonder how someone can be so stupid to show himself like that, every infantry manuals explain that you can’t do something so stupid in the front line, because it’s sure death!

Merijn

It looks like he had to pee…… for the last time that is….

testera

He doesn’t even look like a marginally competent sniper to me, so I woldn’t bet on him being a famous one. :)

Njegos Maljevic

Speed of that ATGM is around 300 m/s. You can roughly calculate distance between attackers and the target. Maybe they didn’t expect attack there. Maybe it was their base and therefore they felt safe. Small crew of 2-4 with ATGM’s can infiltrate deep into enemy territory and make a havoc. If that ATGM is KORNET, it has at least 5,5km range, so go figure, one tripod, 2-3 tubes with missiles, all fired in mater of minutes and than retreat!

Richard M

Why waste a missile on a camera? Go up and hit it with a stick or rock!

Icarus Tanović

That was very expensive, American Hollywood camera. Al Nusra and White helmets use those too.

John Whitehot

because the camera may be emplaced near a IED, or a mine, or any other sort of insidious device remotely activated by ragheads watching the camera feed.

testera

It wasn’t a missile.

Sinbad2

I wonder if they are using the American ATGM’s they captured from ISIS?

Promitheas Apollonious

You think to be testing them, for efficiency?

John Whitehot

there are several videos already of the SAA using captured TOW missiles against their former operators.

In itself the equipment isn’t very difficult to deploy and use, and wahabist powers like the USA and Saudia flooded the country with them, so there’s plenty for the SAA to use.

Promitheas Apollonious

I know I use them before. What I said was a joke.

Dagwood Bumstead

In the printed word, you should use some indication that it is a joke, when it’s not always clear. How are we supposed to know that it was sarcasm without the sarcasm tag? There are a lot of dumb asses around, that would ask a stupid question …

Promitheas Apollonious

which one is the sarcasm tag? for future references.

Dagwood Bumstead

What are you 12?

Dagwood Bumstead

/scarcasm, Or just say that’s sarcasm in case you didn’t know in brackets. Can’t believe many of you have never heard of this concept – must be new to the Internet.

Empire's Frontiers

In all the books I’ve ever read, there’s never been a sarcasm tag.

Dagwood Bumstead

OK Smart-ass – Ponder why we use emoticons.

Empire's Frontiers

Some lowly tongue you’ve got there. Do ponder why thousands of years of writing didn’t need them.

Dagwood Bumstead

Conversations have always needed them dumb-ass – we’re not talking about writing a fucking novel.Obviously this internet thing is relatively new to you. We’ve been having this conversation on Usenet, ever since the unwashed masses invaded the inter-tubes. Everything has been dumbed down for dumb-asses like you.

Empire's Frontiers

Your brilliance here is blinding.

xD

John Whitehot

sarcasm and irony are the weapons we have to demask propaganda bots though..

Dagwood Bumstead

I have no problem with sarcasm, but unless you can see someone physically, it’s difficult to determine if one is joking. Dry humour for example doesn’t show unless one uses an emotive.

Joe Dickson

It was Konkurs

Sinbad2

How can you tell, the kind of bang they make?

Joe Dickson

The warning whistle is only used by Konkurs and Fagot, the Fagot burns a dirtier black propellant that you can use to tell the difference.

Njegos Maljevic

By the trajectory of the missile it looks like Russian/Soviet.

Merijn

Who Else works with all these hidden Cameras? Some will be hidden better than others I guess…

FlorianGeyer

Yes indeed Merijn. My immediate thought that anyone with half a brain would have made some effort to conceal the shiny new camera :) Even shrouding it with rusty metal from ‘old baked bean cans’ would have done the job.

I must therefore surmise that the clown/s that installed it had recently benefitted from NATO training.

Tudor Miron

I wonder where are all those brave and honest western journalists to film and show what’s going on the ground in Syria? That doesnt pay well I guess.

potcracker2588

breaking news….lol..hahahaha another turkish convoy consisting of artillery and tanks..50+ vehicles entered idlib at 12.30 last night….
