On October 3, several units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) accompanied by a force from the Russian Military Police entered the town of Jasim in the northern countryside of Daraa, marking the beginning of the reconciliation process in the region.
Jasim’s local leaders accepted a reconciliation agreement that was offered by Syrian authorities two days ago. The authorities warned the town’s gunmen against rejecting the offer.
Dozens of gunmen, most of whom wanted for avoiding military service or deserting the ranks of the SAA, will join the reconciliation process under the new agreement in Jasim. The gunmen will reportedly hand over more than 200 pieces of weapons.
Earlier this week, Syrian authorities concluded the reconciliation process in the western countryside of Daraa with an agreement in the town of Nawa. On October 3, the SAA carried out a combing operation in the town in accordance with the reconciliation agreement.
According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a total of 3,500 gunmen joined the reconciliation process in the western Daraa countryside. Prior to that 1,200 gunmen joined the reconciliation process in Daraa al-Balad, the southern part of Daraa city.
Jasim will be the starting point for the Russian-sponsored reconciliation process in the northern Daraa countryside. More towns and villages in the region will join the process in the upcoming few days.
Good news! Hmmm… Can you trust to the peace in Daara region? Are Mossad agents still there to protect Golan or to create chaos as usually last 10 years?
Hooray for the Syrian People!
Praise to Dr. Assad!
Down with ‘israel’!
Death to all Zionists!
By the end of octubre all Daraa province will be liberated. And soon Idlib too.
Idlib is going to be messy. Turkey doesn’t want IsIs members to run to turkey after they been defeated, so turkey will most likely be determined to win
Excellent progress by the SAA and their allies. They have countered foreign backed divisions through diplomacy and saved many innocent lives in the process. Well done, yet again.
