Units of the Syrian Arab Army and the National Defense Forces have entered the city of Taqbah, the Tabqah airbase and the Tabqah dam as well as several other points within the area controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The move came in the framework of the deal reached between the SDF and the Damascus government on October 13 evening.

Syrian troops are in the Tabqah airbase area:

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

Yay :)))

John Marston

Great news!

Smith Ricky

Victory from God.

Mustafa Mehmet

Thanks to Erdoğan

Saso Mange

I truly hoped for this outcome but i am also surprised that it plays out this way. Truth is that only Syrian government can provide safety and security to both Syria and Turkey because instability in Syria directly endangers Turkey. Hopefully there will be new friendship there.

Mustafa Mehmet

Both country has no choice but to become friend. Both countrie got lots a enemy … especially inside

Xoli Xoli

Very true now you are talking the talk.

Concrete Mike

This whole war is thanks to Erdogan, so kindly mustafa, please be quiet now.

You are doing great work on the kurds thank you , other than that hush please!

Sasan Jamshidi

Hmmm so there is no difference between fascists and killers like you and turks both happy see innocents die only because of their skin or language or race. Im sorry for the world have you

Concrete Mike

Cry more treasonous scum, you had since 2017 the fall.of deir.ez.zor to reconcile.with the SAA.

Yet at the same time you were flooding euphrated with tabqa dam to.hamper river crossings. Directly supporting isis.

The only way to get through your thick heads is by putting a turkish gun to it, you had 2 years to do it, but no you had to reject the syrians, whose land is occupied.

You have the gall.to call me fascist, when you had 2 years.to make the deal, this is the consequence of the kurds intransigence towadss the legal syrian governement.

It could have been done another way, but the stupidity of the kurdish leaders have lead you down to this.

This is not about race.or.whatever,.i reject the sdf as they are treasonous scum and will not use that “term” , as they are anything but democratic.

So you take your racist bs and shove it, the point is make a deal with Damascuss ,now, like i told you the othrr day.

Sasan Jamshidi

I am not kurd i am persian iranian and i know how much you arab bullshits are we hate you barab bedouin uncivilized people ..

Uncle Meat

You are full of shit and outed as an ordinary nihilist. You can’t have conversation or reason with people like you, waste of time and energy. Psychopath possibly. Goodbye!

Sasan Jamshidi

Lol the one is you you have called everyone zionist or zionist puppet or etc except your father! Your words have no proof no reason only hatred and fascism and covering truth. Your words only have anger not logic. You praise killing children and innocents. So the one should be psychopath is you not me you can show your comments and thoughts and mine to a doctor and ask his judgment ;)

We defend our kurdish brothers and sisters from here all our people do (not gov only which is nit from us) not just as iranian but as human being which you have no feelings about it.

dinnedup

One of the most “true-to-DNA-of-your-Father the-Devil”, traitorous, dishonorable to own nation and state, culpable, sell-own-soul group you would ever read about in History.

FlorianGeyer

The US had only recently completed the renovation of the base to house helicopters, I think. Thousands of cube of concrete ,Mike :)

Concrete Mike

Hmmm.thousands.of.meters, tasty.

If SAA is taking Kobane, what.about the lafarge plant by ayn.issa? Seizing that would.be a.good.start to war reperations.

FlorianGeyer

It would indeed, Mike. It will be interesting to see what the Western cheerleaders for the armed terrorist murder gangs will say when the SAA and allies restores order in Syria.

On another note, this will interest you I think. There are a whole raft of expensive addons that make a mixer in tune with ‘today’ and the ownership of a mixer a greater burden. I am pleased I retired when I did :)

https://hymix.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/HYMIX-Award-Winners-2019-Safety-Specification-Mixer-12-04.pdf

“Ladders are gone ….. on the latest Readymix truck Midlands-based concrete mixer supplier, Hymix, has unveiled its latest innovations engineered to address the principal concerns of the Ready Mix Industry today. Launching at ‘The 2019 Concrete Show’ their new mixer design focuses on pedestrian, cyclist and driver safety whilst delivering a number of new ideas to help reduce the environmental impact.”

Xoli Xoli

Like it or not one has to admit and thank Erdogan. Because main national water supply dam is back in Syrian government hands. Now let Erdogan push in Omar oilfields and Altanf.

FlorianGeyer

And a bloodless one at that :)

Blaubeere

There are rumours that the Russians declared a non-fly zone over Manbij and Kobane. Is true?

Zionism = EVIL

No, Russian position is still very ambiguous and sooner than later Russia will have to confront the Turkeys. As I had posted at the onset that Syria needs to give a 24 hour ultimatum to the Turkeys that they need to cease the indiscriminate bombing raids or be shot down. Perhaps, finally we may see the S-300 pot plants in action.

BMWA1

Susoect Ru wants to restrict Tk zone of activity but not prohibit. Turks did lever sdf to SAA.

Zionism = EVIL

Russian role is similar to that with Zionists, they are trying to please all and that in such a complex situation can not stand for long. Erdogan is literally a madman and will push the limits. I believe the Turkeys will see far they can push and like my initial assessment, this will take 3-4 weeks more to play out.

FlorianGeyer

” Erdogan is literally a madman and will push the limits.”

And outside Hollywood , such strategic madness has never won wars.

Sasan Jamshidi

Remember Russia & USA are never to be trusted dont be surprised they even sell syria they did sell iran to israel for example lol

Uncle Meat

You dimwit there’d be exponentially more deaths and destruction if it weren’t for Russia and Putin’s, their MoD’s strategies. The bussing away of terrorists vs leveling cities Ala Raqqa, etc. And now this master plan unfolding again with as little casualties (besides oded yinon, neocons, et al) harmony and civility being reestablished. You clearly have an agenda. Are you a Salafist terrorist yourself?

Zionism = EVIL

Could not have said it better.

Sasan Jamshidi

Fool what russia did was preserving its benefits never ever a superpower thinks about people only benefits remember that! Also fuck usa & russia & turks & racists & irgc & islam & shia & sunni & ….. I dont have any agenda or idealogy or allparty of them are against humanity.

Damien C

That will allow the SAA to take Raqqa or by-pass Raqqa if they choose to push to the M4 highway in the North from a broad southern front rather than push along it from the west exposing themselves to ATGM’s in a narrow corridor

Zionism = EVIL

The rolling hills north of Raqaa are ideal Kornet territory, I am sure the SAA and especially their battle hardened allies are quite aware of the vulnerability of the Turkeys, however it is very important that the SAA use its air defence systems, whether Russia likes it or not and down a couple of Turkeys F-16 or helos with manpads.

RichardD

Great news!

Saso Mange

It is happening on many locations :) Great day.

Zionism = EVIL

From my estimation of Turkeys unit deployment they have stole about 130 sq kms of Syrian lands and that is not that difficult to liberate again.

Saso Mange

I find it hard to believe that this was some deal between Russia, Syria, Turkey and Iran . But as things unfold it seems likely.

And yeah, it’s so true that secular Syria was always good for Kurds. Maybe Syria was the only true secular nation in the region.

Zionism = EVIL

As i have been posting almost daily now that the only way to get rid of the Turkeys is for the whole Axis of Resistance to unite. The Turks are savage mongols and their atrocities are already worse than what Dr. Assad could even dream of. In every village or town the SAA and its allies have entered the people, Kurds, Arabs, Christians, or anyone with basic functioning brain has welcomed them and sighed relief. The Turk arseholes are far worse than their Daesh proxies as they still have Ottoman delusions and think that they can rule over the region. The sons of bitches have a thing coming, take it from me as I know what lies in store for the dumb fuck Turkeys and the pig Erdogan. This is not the 17th century.

Rhodium 10

I dont trust the US forces..maybe they will not allow SAA to retake oil fields( Omar oil field) beside can build somekind of “Al Tanf” base in East Eufrates close to Syria-Irak border,,,

Zionism = EVIL

The Americunts are playing all sides as usual. They gave the Turkeys green light for the invasion and want the Kurds to be still in Zionist pockets. The Zionists, Turkeys and Americunts have the same agenda of Syrian and Iraqi Balkanization and I am certain that they will continue to support fratricide in the region. This mess has a long way to play out and much more misery is in store.

BMWA1

Yes oil may require humanitarian aid

John

The war is taking serious steps towards it’s end and I am very happy that this is happening.

alexis

Movement in Syria starts. US and France troops on their way home. Syria gvt starts seize their own teritory from Kurds. Turkish offensive not so fast. After five days only minor gain. I expected much faster advance. Good news…

Concrete Mike

Good morning friends.

What great news to see Tabqah airbase , dam and town liberated, without a shot fired might i add!!!

I am super glad we came back to the airbase, so we can lay our brothers to rest properly. It took a bit longer brothers but we never abandoned you!

We love you, come back to mother syria now, its over for you , rest in peace now.

Uncle Meat

Are you Syrian? Please expound upon what you infer about laying Syrian brothers at rest properly? Were the soldiers killed placed in mass Graves? What a good feeling that the tide is at last turning and the war may soon be over before long!

igybundy

Hundreds of Syrian soldiers were executed by the FSA and then ISIS when they retreated from the air base there. Their bodies were not allowed to be returned to their families and held as hostages. Now those soldiers can be brought home and laid to rest.

Concrete Mike

No im not syrian, i.dont feel.a.funeral.presided over by al nusrah punks is the proper way to bury these poor men.

I would like to see a ceremony of all faiths of the deceased men, presided over by president assad.

Abandonning Tabqah was a tough decision for Bashar, he cried over it, as any sane person would.

No its good to see that airbase return to its proper owners, especially that usa actually put some money in it too.

Xoli Xoli

Really you are talking the truth. It was really hard for soldiers too to leave part of their mother land and necessary strategic important part to traitors back stabbing defectors to illegal coalition.

FlorianGeyer

Yes, there are mass graves there. ISIS body dumping grounds that now need to be exhumed and accorded the respect the SAA service men deserve.

Xoli Xoli

Sound very encouraging and supportive.USA,France, Brttain,Germany,Saudi, Qatar,UAE, Israel,Turkey and their created ISIS and SDF have killed many Syrian government soldiers.

RamboDave

This dam provides electricity to all of Northern Syria.

We need to wait and see whether or not the Deir-Ezor oil fields have also been included in the deal with the SDF. In any case these oil fields can easily be taken, since the Syrian army is already across the river. I expect this to happen later today.

The oil fields are controlled by the Deir Ezor Military Council, which is separate from the SDF. And .. this group is made up of former local criminals and captured ISIS converts. But, without the SDF manpower they are nothing.

The US Defense Department says it will only remain at the al Tanf boarder crossing, which is way to the South of the oil fields.

FlorianGeyer

I suspect that the US is hiding mass graves in Al tanf, the US bases in Germany are also said to be closed off areas with mass graves from the Rhine Meadow camps of 1945 WW2, where circa 1.5 million German POW’s were starved and beaten to death in open air stockades by the US Military.

It is documented in the book, ‘Other Losses’ by a Canadian author,James Bacque.

Vitex

The only genocide we were taught is the $h0ah, a religion in which I disbelieve. But of course there’s the Holodomor, Pol Pot, Turks vs Armenians (and every other minority), ANC vs white farmers in SA, Dresden fire bombing, carpet bombing of Vietnam and Korea…. Interesting to note that Eisenhower was in charge when that genocide against the Germans happened.

FlorianGeyer

“https://uk.video.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?fr=yhs-trp-001&hsimp=yhs-001&hspart=trp&p=other+losses+by+james+bacque#id=51&vid=fa47147d98b4b4bc7a8fa21f82ef93ca&action=click”

Other Losses is in book form and video,Vitex. Its well worth looking at. Buried history.

Uncle Meat

I understand now, thank you everyone for explaining. I respect how you express comaraderie (in spirit, with heart) with the Syrian Arab Army, Tiger forces (to which are now under the wing of the SAA), the Axis of Resistence, et al. They are considered as brothers (and sisters). It is strange how when I meet people of ME descent here in the States (near Chicago) not very many seem at all interested in what’s going on over there. Is it partly because they keep those thoughts private, to themselves for fear of any legal trouble or perhaps being stereotyped?

I’ve always got along with Arab people for the most part. Used to deliver sometimes to their mosque (Fridays wen’t so much fun traffic wise over there but wasn’t a big inconvenience) for Fedex. I have neighbors who are Arabic, only just met the father couple weeks back. Seems more the younger ones, 20’s, 30’s aren’t very much interested in geopolitics of MENA. Just part of being young I guess?

I’ve been following what’s been happening in the MENA (and Ukraine since 2014) more intensely since 2011-2012 but before that casually since 9/11 (I was 21 at the time). I enjoy learning about the world and geopolitics (as much as I love my music). Fighting depression along the way since an adolescent but I don’t take Rx (only tried it for a few weeks when I was 16 and then stopped taking them.) I don’t rarely drink alcohol and don’t use any drugs (besides Cannabis and Kratom). Am one of the fortunate ones I guess. I am grateful for what mental health I do enjoy and never take it for granted.

It has been quite a ride this past decade with Syria, Ukraine, Libya being set loose upon by the psychopaths who run the US empire. I truly hope the tide is finally turning and positive events are to follow for everyone involved. Change is the one reliable constant of the universe, yes? Really great turn of events with VV Putin, bringing Russia back to life and being a force for good, stability, reason. Hezbollah and Iran holding steady, showing integrity, support, strength (and inspiring these qualities in others, esp younger generations). Always learning something from you guys here. SF definitely ranks high as among my top 5 sites on the internet, geopolitically speaking anyway.

Barba_Papa

It would seem that with the dismissal of that psychopath Bolton Trump is now finally free to extract the US from Syria. I’m not daring to hope that it will happen, but I would not be completely surprised if the US were to withdraw from Al Tanf as well. The headchoppers there must be nervous as f*** right now seeing that is throwing yet another former ally to the wolves. And while its still too early to tell this is starting to look like a giant middle finger to all the doubters and nay sayers who kept ranting that Russia was selling Syria out. Diplomacy acts slow and unseen, while tanks and fighter jets are easily observable, Russia may have done more for Syria behind the scenes these past months then its active military contingent in Syria did.

If the current trend of Syrian army deployments into SDF territory continues that is.

Uncle Meat

Yeah, they are still parroting that line of bs propaganda, just look in the comments below, a Sasan Jamshidi. Good! F’n wankers need therapy and more!

FlorianGeyer

I suspect that Trump would not have withdrawn IF either their coup in Venezuela, a peace treaty with North Korea or US success in Iran had been successful.

Trump is desperate for a ‘victory’ and a Mission Accomplished meme in Syria is one thing that he can control.

All he has to do is Bring the US troops ‘home’ and proclaim what a ‘smart’ commander in chief he is.

Barba_Papa

I think his base couldn’t care less about a mission accomplished. Or a victory. They just want an end to endless wars. The MSM and Washington pundits love a mission accomplished or victory, but only because it gives them an opportunity to start a new mission.

FlorianGeyer

I would agree with you, but Trump, as all politicians , feeds of success, whether it is deserved or not.

Barba_Papa

To his base bringing back home the troops is a success. To the chattering classes and the TDS suffering Trump haters anything Trump does is wrong. Trump stops global warming, pff, why didn’t he use more wind and solar? Trump brings peace to the Middle East, pff, he cowtowed too much with the wrong dictators. Trump adopts all the dogs at an animal shelter, pff, why does he hate cats? It’s never good or enough for these people. He might as well stick to pleasing his base.

antoun

excellente news thank you erdogan!!

Abtin Do

I would pay to see ErDOG’s filthy face right now. Not a day ago he still had every reason to believe his long-coveted dream of an unprecedented land grab and annexion initiative materialize under his self-declared neo-Ottoman umbrella. Now it is getting torn up from pages of history one breaking news at a time. I cannot believe such crucial events are happening in such ludicrously fast-paced succession. With luck, Russian mediation will temper most hot-headed individuals within the Syrian elite to come to a definitive ,mutually benefitial long-term settlement between the central gov’t and the SDF by building on the current consensual momentum, and that would exclude any non-Syrian actors. Ironically, by his reckless, greedy actions combined with yet another Trumpian U-Turn, the Turkish dog in chief actually sealed the fate of every of his core goals and broke a favorable status-quo even in Afrin and its adjacent regions, not mention Greater Idlib. Tables have dramatically turned and we can contemplate the imminent start of a massively overdue, global and unconditionnal joint military reconquest effort by brand-new SDF-SAA entente/alliance on every inch of Turkish-occupied sovereign Syrian land. There is at least tacit support from the Tzar to tame the Ottoman freak where his interests directly contradict Russian ones, despite his proximity to the man due to obvious pragmatic approches in hurting NATO via Ankara. Can’t wait to see all that unravel.

Barba_Papa

On a side note, the SDF fanboys, who were so vehemently masturbating to the idea of the Kurds building a social justice paradise in East Syria seem to be really silent these days. Except for the ones in the mainstream press of course. But we already ignore those.

“The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others remain as your legacy.” Kalu Ndukwe Kalu

Not everything is what it seems, give things time to evolve. So far, its good, and for once I shal not say much, only hope that this time, the war is closing or at least coming to an end, of course, we have had much cruelty, desite, lies, fabrications, alegations, but not much of hope, or truth, the first causalty of war. Of course, thru the years things have been said, sometimes even I regrets it, but for me and maybe others, the goal justifyes the means, words are words, it dont burn down nations, actions do, and then to forgive, is left to the survivors to do, and some may, others can, forgive but you dont need to forget. Forgiving, is for the stong, the week cant/wont, it is as said by the prophets, to brighten your own future, not to indulg in the past, it clouds your judgment and hinders to future to blosom.

It have been the fight for humans, I never regrets what have been done, since I and others we never wanted this in the first place, but look whom wants this to continue, France, witch is so hyrpocritical they stink, Germany, hell yeah, with their Mutti Morekill, and then the scums from the City of London to Amsterdam, and to the force behind it all, the UssA, whom is stil justifying this insane invasion and war of their making, for 50 years have the tried, and to think anyone of this scumbags says anything ever remotely contected to truth is delutional, bordelining insanity, an nation feeding on paranoia and hails phsycopaths. I just hope that what I think is going on, despite the rethoric coming from the MSM and our corruted clas of scumbag polticians, witch isnt relevant, isnt coluding with what goes behind the curtains, non mentioned in this stage, but I hope I am not wrong. For those children and for the ones whom isnt here anymore. May the lord have mercy upon their souls.

Thank you for the quotation. I have entered it into my list.

We have to hide our pride and admit that really Mustafa and Concrete have reasonable points on their comments.
