On November 4, the Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF) continued operations in northern Hama, advancing along the strategic Alepp-Hama highway.
The tactical goal of this operation is to flank the militan-controlled town of Taybat al-Imam and seize it, expanding the buffer zone around the highway. The liberation of Taybat al-Imam will allow the government forces to advance on Buwayda and to set a pretext for an operation in the direction of Latamanah.
