AlMasdarNews reports: The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside Hezbollah and Harakat Al-Nujaba (Iraqi paramilitary), continued their large-scale advance in southern Aleppo on Sunday night, targeting the key hilltop of Bazou and the nearby districts of Al-‘Amariyah and Sheikh Sa’eed.
Led by the 800th Regiment of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Armed Forces and their allies established full control over Tal Bazou after a long battle with the jihadist rebels of Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) near the recently captured Air Defense Base.
Following the capture of Tal Bazou, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah shifted their attention to the Sheikh Sa’eed and Al-‘Amariyah districts in Aleppo’s southern corridor; this resulted in a swift advance after the pro-government forces launched their surprise assault there.
Intense clashes are ongoing at the moment, as the Syrian Armed Forces and their allies look to expand on their southern Aleppo buffer-zone before the jihadist rebels launch their large-scale offensive.
