AlMasdarNews reports: On Saturday night, the Syrian Arab Army’s 102nd Brigade of the Republican Guard – backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF), Palestine Liberation Army (PLA), and Hezbollah – imposed full control over Hawsh Al-Khatib in the East Ghouta after a violent battle with Faylaq Al-Rahman and Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group).
According to an Al-Masdar correspondent in Damascus City, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah captured Hawsh Al-Khatib after killing an estimated 10 enemy combatants.
The Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah were able to capture Hawsh Al-Khatib after making huge strides around the towns of Zibdeen and Deir Al-‘Assafir in the East Ghouta.
With the village of Hawsh Al-Khatib under their control, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah have asserted fire control over the strategic town of Deir Al-‘Assafir from two different flanks.
