Syrian Army & Hezbollah Regain Initiative from Militants, Seize more Areas in Southwestern Aleppo (Maps)

The Syrian army, Hezbollah and its allies, supported by the Russian Aerospace Forces, have regained initiative from the militants in southwestern Aleppo. Developing previous successes, the pro-government forces fully secured the 1070 Apartment Project annd now engaged Jaish al-Fatah (coalition of various miltiant groups, including Al Nusra Front) militants in the Air Force Technical Base at the Ramouseh Artillery Base.

Pro-government source say that the Syrian forces have already gained about a half of the area and continued advances. Syrian and Russian warplanes and the Syrian army’s artillery played crucial role in this advances. Their actions aimed to destroy militant reinforcements and supplies heading to the frontline allowed the pro-government forces to regain the initiative in southwestern Aleppo.

After the taking control of the 1070 Apartment Project, the Syrian artillery is now able to strengthen fire pressure on the Jaish al-Fatah corridor to the militant-controlled areas of the city.

Chief of the Air Force Technical Base, General Deeb Bizzi, leaded the offensive in the area. He was reportedly killed in the clashes. There is no information who is leading the battle now.

Unconfirmed reports say that the Syrian government forces are seeking to forn a solid defense line along the Aleppo-Damascus Highway:

Either way, the FSA has most certainly lost steam.

abu kornet

the nusairy attempt to capture the 1070 apartments failed with them losing 2 bmps full of infantry and tens of their infantry and officers were killed in their failed attampt to retake the artillery base

farplay

what is nusairy?

abu kornet

an alawite

ASA

go to hell takfiri dog

abu kornet

go to hell hassan nasrullat

goingbrokes

Nusairi is a sort of word that the salafists use when they talk about syrian alawites. It is a bit like a christian calling someone a “pagan” – definitely a derogatory word. It reminds the jihadists that to kill a “pagan” is not a sin (in their twisted minds)! Hassan Nasrallah is the Hezbollah leader who the takfiris hate guts. I think they call him Nasrullat so the word allah does not get said in the same sentence with him. It really is pathetic stuff!

farplay

thank you bro!

MeMadMax

Yea, so? You think war is supposed to waged with no losses? In the end FSA and ISIS will lose, why? Who has the airpower?

You can’t rule the land without ruling the skies and the seas…

And besides that, all the FSA has done with aleppo is returned to square one. They are as far from capturing the city as they were back in 2014… Not very promising…. And on top of that, the FSA hasn’t captured a single major objective in over 4 years(homs)…

Do you really think going back and forth over some insignificant villages is gonna win the war?

In fact, the last time the FSA even actually posed a threat to assad and syria as a whole was when they almost reached the beach near latakkia… Since then, on a strategic level, FSA is a nuisance…

MeMadMax

But the constant stream of war porn coming out of the terrorist camp is much appreciated however… FAP FAP FAP, we always enjoy watching you people die… It will be very missed when this is all over… Which will be after the end of the obama regime too… End of Obama = End of FSA and ISIS…

You have 6 months left…

John Whitehot

wish i had your optimism

MeMadMax

What? It’s true! The largest supplier of guns/ammo to the terrorists is the good ol usa… There’s plenty of vids out there on liveleak that show captured warehouses full of the shit… And there’s plenty of vids showing C-130s dropping pallets of food/water/guns/ammo out into the middle of nowhere to be picked up by either isis guys or fsa guys… They even put halal arabic food in the pallets and the water bottles are Alpine Spring in those 24 packs with the walmart shipping label still on them… With the obama regime removed from power, the whole thing grinds to a halt…

John Whitehot

ye ye, but i was referring to your optimism that with Obama removed the us will stop aiding the headchoppers. I believe that, among all the (possible) presidents of the US, Obama is the one who has the littlest wish to support jihadists. With Clankers in place, there is the risk that the jihadists will get even more support. The hope is that they ‘ll get cut off and basically defeated before the 1st of january, which is not an unachieavable objective. Of course, if one disregards the hope that Killary won’t get to the white house, one way or another – hope that is glimmering every day more.

MeMadMax

There’s no way hitlery will make it past the front door of the white house. You can safely ignore the polls, they already admitted that they were twisting them to look like hillary was winning. Oh, one thing they don’t mention on the polls: The use landlines, hardly anyone uses landlines… Certainly not the thirty somethings that are pulling hardest for trump.

John Whitehot

they will rig the elections, just like they did in 2000 by making Dubya win over Al-Gore. Anyway, I still pray that Assange or someone pull out some stunt before E-Day.

abu kornet

here is an accurate&truthful map of the rebel corridor in aleppo the little bulge in the north is because this is an old map on august 5th when the rebels did not capture the airforce college

Kuma San

this is a killzone mad on purpose

Kuma San

To avoid hitting civilians, takfiri scum were allowed to open a tiny “window”, actually it’s only a tiny opening to give false hopes to the terrorist. It was impossible to use Airpower on Aleppo so they created this “Killzone”. Ever played “tower defence” games?:) Next step I foresee this “killzone” turning into “Rat trap”.

goingbrokes

August 5th was two weeks ago, so the map is a fantasy!

abu kornet

the situation is the same all of the saa attacks have been repelled
