On December 29, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) tracked and killed three ISIS members during a combing operation in the area of al-Safa, according to pro-government sources. The terrorists have been reportedly hiding in an isolated cave for the last few weeks.
The SAA liberated al-Safa, which lays between the governorate of al-Suwayda and the Damascus desert, on November 17 after more than two months of fierce clashes with ISIS cells. Later, the army launched the operation to neutralize all the remaining assets of the terrorist group.
In the course of the operation, the SAA killed several ISIS fighters who were still hiding in al-Safa. US-supplied weapons were also found in the abandoned hideouts and positions of the terrorist group.
The operation will likely continue until the end of this winter because the SAA wants to make sure that ISIS will not be able to regroup again and threaten the nearby residential areas in al-Suwayda.
good. some years ago we wouldn’t be thinking about isis members trying to escape like fugitives in 2-3 men teams and meet their deaths in some shack or cave.
It beats me how a human being with one life to live will choose to be a terrorist.. foolish behavior
