The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) captured several points in Khara’b al-Katna area south of Ithryia town in the eastern Hama countryside, according to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria.
Meanwhile, Russian Air Force warplanes destroyed 10 ISIS vehicles in the eastern Hama countryside. The airstrikes killed at least 30 ISIS fighters according to the Al-Masdar News blog.
In the southeastern Raqqa countryside, Syrian and Russian Air Force warplanes bombed 5 ISIS positions in Al-Suwayda village and Maadan town.
It’s believed that the SAA will capture Maadan within few days as the Syrian and Russian air forces have destroyed a major part of the ISIS fortifications in the town.
From its side, ISIS claimed that its fighters killed 11 Syrian soldiers and destroyed two battle tanks and a vehicle during south of Ghanem al-Ali village. ISIS members allegedly fighters destroyed a SAA battle tank with a mortar and damaged another tank with a guided missile near Zemla village.
ISIS fighters may withdraw from the strategic Alqirbat town in the eastern Hama countryside – after the increased SAA pressure – to the eastern Homs countryside, according to the ANNA News media outlet.
