On December 20, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) captured the villages of Musheirifat Abu Dali and Tall al-Maqta in the southern Idlib countryside according to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria.
The SAA is now deployed only within 2km south of the strategic village of Abu Dali, that was captured by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its allies on October 8. The strategic village is considered a key position to many strongholds of HTS in the region between the southern Idlib countryside and the southwestern Aleppo countryside. The town of Abu Duhur, the target of the current SAA military operation in the area, is one of them.
The HTS-linked news agency Iba’a reported that HTS fighters repelled an attack by the SAA and the NDF on their positions in the villages of Ramla and Sayyalah southwest of Khanasir town in the southwestern Aleppo countryside.
HTS fighters captured seven soldiers, and an officer of the SAA during the clashes in Ramla and Sayyalah, according to Iba’a.

Several Syrian pro-government news outlets and activists reported that the Tigers Forces are only few hours away from launching their long awaited wide-scale military operation against HTS. However, these claims have not been confirmed, and it’s still unknown if the Tiger Forces are set to attack in the northern Hama countryside or in the southwestern Aleppo countryside.

All military hardware, fighter jets and commercial jets will be overhauled locally in Syria.

Reconcile? I don’t think so. This has gone for 7 years already and it has reached point of no return.
SDF is not an ally of SAA because they are an entirely different entity with different goals. The Rebels have lost Aleppo and nothing much of significiant after that. It’s pretty much status quo.
They have manpower and weaponry to go on for years to come. This will become a meat grinder and also alot of foreign entities will keep streaming there keeping things alive

Once the few pockets are eliminated and between SDF and SAA supported by Iran, Russia, Turkey, Hez etc , SDF’s ONLY way yo survive is to agree that Assad’s conditions.
US has no chance and it is understood that no country or leader worth their salt will allow another race to create and steal their country especially when Assad’s forces are winning overwhelmingly.
Even if Russia stands aside, Iran will spearhead and even go to war with US over it. That is a certainty.
Note the last time when US sailors were taken prisoners and US planes wanted to intervene onshore missiles batteries were locked on to US carriers to sink it
So when Iran’s top general warned US to get out , he meant it. SDF and US forces in there are no contest once Iran gets serious

How do you want me to take you serious when you are saying Iran is willing to go to war with the US. BTW they are not withdrawing from Northern syria and they have made this clear again and again. They didn’t had any interest in Iraq but Syria is different for them.

Idlib could take alone 4-5 years add that with the other locations it could easily take 7-10 years from now.
The Rebels performance is solid compared to ISIS who had poor location due to terrain being open and desert. The Rebels where fighting in Aleppo for 5 years and that is Aleppo alone. I believe they could do the same in Idlib and it’s surrounding areas which is basically forests and good locations for them to fight in for more years.
We have to differ in our opinion that Assad’s forces can allow a hostile foreign power to take the country when it is well known SDF including the US forces in Syria is no match to Assad’s forces.
Iran and even Iraq forces are easily deployed even if Assad has not enough men to take on SDF which is not true.
SAA can take one even alone not to say SAA has allies.
So far SDF have been fighting ISIS a no brainier but against Iran? Get your head examined.
