Syrian Army Launched Advance On Militant Positions North Of Kafr Nabudah (Map Update)

Support SouthFront

On June 3, units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the Tiger Fores launched an advance on militant positions north of the town of Kafr Nabudah in northwestern Hama.

According to pro-government sources, the SAA and the Tiger Forces already entered the village of Qasabiyah, but have not been able to secure it yet.

Clashes were also reported in Hamirat.

The resumption of military hostilities in the area became a logical continuation of the recent developments in this area. Radical militant groups, including Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, ignored de-escalation efforts by Damacus and its allies and continued offensive actions against the SAA. This forced the Syrian military to respond.

Unless the article involves Israeli airstrikes on Syria. In which case the comments are all damn you, Russia and Jew lover Putin.

Saddam Hussein

Go Syrian Arab Army!!!

Instead of pushing from the bottom of the DMZ, cut them off from Turkey at the border.

Exactly, one would think that it is better to control totally Turkey borders ( Turkey is the main terrorists supporter), enclosing totally Idlib under SAA control.

In itself you are correct. It would mean liberating Afrin and Euphrates Shield area as they can reinforce from the north.

FlorianGeyer

In a way you are correct, however the manpower needed to do that with a hostile Turkish army on one side and HTS etc on the other side would be huge and an incredibly difficult position to hold, even with a 10 mile wide strip along the border.

It would effectively be like creating a salient in hostile territory that could easily become a pocket.

next trget is Abidin and Hobiet

Valery Grigoryev

Totally agree with you.

Spectator

You are right. But they could not make more gains after Salma in the border with Turkey

klove and light

captured already…..but securing it, without making a push to the west(where the infested with terrorists hills are…and the fucking turkish Observation post)..wont be possible.

A couple of the Russian super heavy mortars called Tulip I think would do some real damage to and Dead Ground defence works.

I wonder what the Russian flights delivered the other day ?

Its been a long while since last time Israel made so manny attacks in a short period of time, and SAA is on the advance, possibly they are really worried this time for their jihadi friends.

On another note I think Syria and Iran possibly have a strategy to counter Israel for good, since Israel has destroyed so much infrastructure from Syria and there hasnt been a military response to that yet. Syria is slowly losing its AA systems to Israeli attacks, and theres no way Syria would let Israel to destroy a big part of it without putting a fight. Only problem is, when theres a syrian response it will be total war, so have to be patient and choose the best moment
