On Agust 14, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) liberated the areas of Arh Amirah and Rujm Mughrabah in the Rif Damashq desert from ISIS cells, according to pro-government sources.
These advances allowed government troops to develop their advance in the area engaging ISIS militants in the northwestern and eastern parts of the Safa volcanic plateau.

It does gladden my heart to picture Daesh rats being pushed into the lava plateau on foot. I sort of doubt they have many supplies stored there, and are trying to work their way south. That’s one hell of a tough hike. This is good! :))
