On July 25, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) 4th Division and the Tiger Forces captured the villages of Sayda al-Golan, Khan Sayda, al-Luwbayd, al-Muqaziz and a housing complex near the town of Jillen in the western Daraa countryside after heavy clashes with the ISIS-affiliated Khalid ibn al-Walid Army, according to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that warplanes of the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) and the Russian Aerospace Forces supported the SAA’s offensive in the western Daraa countryside and conducted a series of airstrikes on positions of the ISIS-affiliated group.
Few hours earleir, the SAA liberated the villages of Khirbat Khasfayn, Ayn al-Qadi, Bassali, Ayn Zabida, Mazraah, Bakkar, Bakkar Sharqi, Jubayliyah and the so-called Libyan company.
Meanwhile, the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq reported that a suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (SVBIED) of the Khalid ibn al-Walid Army targeted a position of the SAA around Jillen. The terrorist group claimed that dozens of Syrian soldiers and officers were killed in the attack.
According to the news outlet Enab Baladi, several groups of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) are participating in the attack on the Khalid ibn al-Walid Army side by the side with the SAA. The pro-opposition news outlet added that these groups reconciled with the Damascus government few weeks ago only.
