During just few hours, the Syrian army’s Tiger Forces liberated a high number of villages from ISIS terrorists along the Euphrates River and outflanked the ISIS-held Jihar Airbase in the province of Aleppo.
Earlier the Tiger Forces had retaken the strategic Water Treatment Plant, the town of Khafsah and a bunch of the nearby villages.
The recent gains allowed government troops reached the Jihar Airbase from the northern and eastern flanks.
Now, government forces are reportedly storming the airbase.
This is fricking fantastic!! Is this a blitzkrieg? Where the hell did ISUS go. I thought they would make a stand at the canal line.
I suspect that with the fall of Al Bab this area is of little strategic importance to them now. If they don’t put up much of a fight at the Jiraz airbase and Deir Hafer they will probably retreat even further south.
Yea I heard they only have mostly children and old men to fight, hopefully IS is on their last legs now
the cowards make innocents get slaughtered to cover their escapes, probably giving them two options, getting shot or decapitated on the spot by ISIS or try to stop the enemy fighting while the fierce mujahadeen cut their beards and try to find a way to Turkey, or worse, to Europe.
you forgot to add “change into womens clothing”….
Terrific news. The modernisation of the SAA with serious help from Russia is now paying dividends. It is difficult in such a war as this to withdraw badly needed troops from the front lines and train them with new equipment .
The US allied ‘Operation Rooms’ that control ISIS will doubtless have more schemes afoot . I suspect increased pressure from the Turkish and US surrogates in Idlib.
With trump, I doubt they will continue supporting Isis (at least I hope not). Nevertheless, there’s NO stopping SAA/Russia now!!
Yep, on the US side it was CIA/Clinton Foundation “government within a government” backing ISIS. Trump is at war with all of them, ISIS is done for.
Maskanah is close.10 – 15 kms.And some reports are saying that the fighting is at the entrance of Jirah
Maybe the SAA will bypass Deir Hafer and go to Maskanah on the road to Raqqa instead !
No, you can’t leave a well defended enemy stronghold in your rear. The SAA can advance as ISIS crumbles, but they must neutralise Deir Hafa.
I just hope someone can reach Deir Ezzor and save the poor trapped people there. ISIS has been making some progress there lately. It would be really sad to see all the good people there get executed.
EXCELLENT!!!
Isis is in Al Bab and with USA in Manbij.
ISIS and the Kurds are two different and opposing groups , even if the US backs both .
Isis is FSA.
