The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) have made another advance against ISIS terrorists in the outskirts of Uqayribat town located east of the government-held city of Salamiyah.
The SAA and the NDF have liberated Jawasiyat Janubi, Haddaj, Rasm Zaynab, Taybah, Tahmaz, Bir Ghazalah, Kherbet Amarah and Wadi Khullah taking control over the entire eastern flank of the ISIS-held town of Uqayribat.
Earlier this week, government forces took control of Kherbet Bil’as, Mushrifat Huwaysis, Kherbet, Kherbet Tawil Bil’as, and Jub Abyad in the same area.
These developments clearly show that ISIS is in a no-win situation in the area and soon the SAA and the NDF will take control over the entire eastern countryside of Salamiyah.

The pocket should be closed by this Monday September 03 or earlier, with only mine clearing after that. Deir Azur relieved and ISIS surrounded in the Deir Azur area by mid September at the latest and Al Buchmal surrounded by end of September 2017 or earlier with all other areas of Deri Azur liberated by the same time at the end of September or earlier. Idlib by Christmas and the Turkish army should take care of the SDF in Syria and Iraq the beginning of September.

Yes, I agree . It is very important to focus and not be blown off track by provocations. Saudi Arabia is also ripe for regime change. Can you imagine the wailing at the wall from Israel if the Saudi arsenal fell into the hands of real men :)

The only problem with this pocket is that it’s close to the HTS/Daesh groups which see their friends and allies floundering there and pose a threat from that side. The reason why it has taken so long to assault and clear this region from these groups of terrorists, they are supposed to be mounting an attack again.
For certain HTS is trying to distract SAA from attacking ISIS. But I think most of their attacks involve arty and very little ground action. This is good news, I hope it stays this way. On to Deir Ezzor. :)
