On March 7, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) liberated two towns in the southern Idlib countryside in what appears to be a limited ground attack.
According to several sources, army troops advanced in the region in the afternoon, imposing control of Marat Makhus and Burayj. No heavy clashes were reported.
Some opposition activist claimed that the two towns, which are located northwest of the town of Kafr Nabl, were a “no-man land.” However, other activists confirmed that the militants were forced to retreat from the towns following intense shelling by the SAA.

The army’s ground attack may have been a response to the recent ceasefire violations by the remaining militants in Greater Idlib. The militants violated the ceasefire six times on March 6. On March 7, more violations were reported in southeast Idlib and northwest Aleppo.
Earlier, al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) rejected the recent Russian-Turkish agreement on Greater Idlib. The terrorist group, which is the biggest in the region, vowed to fight against the SAA and its allies.
The SAA will not likely advance any further in southern Idlib as for now. Nevertheless, the army could launch a fresh large-scale military operation in the region if Turkish-backed militants went on with their provocations.

If i was the SAA i would employ more air defense first and Radar to locate mortar and Artillery position,first of the Russians would have to do a reconnaissance to locate Turkey position of air defence location then full scale operations.

The nation is 60 years back from where they was,the rebuilding will put them in much more debts and they military will no be the same or as powerful ast they was till 20 years later,no curse nation could call them a threat.

I highly doubt that there are many Syrians within those refugees. Many of them are Jihadi terrorists that will unleash hell within Europe if allowed to pass.
Some have really come a long way. lol So, there are economic and cultural constraints, I guess the best arrangement would be for the EU to set up camps in the short term, wind down hostilities in the midterm and in the long term avoid funding wars and to invest spare money in other countries(BRI? lol).

Begins the slow elimination of the remaining terrorist held territory south of the M4. No need to rush.
For a start this comment is inaccurate,

They may have rejected the ceasefire agreement but the simple fact is they were never included in the ceasefire agreement anyway, they’re a designated terrorist group and still legal and viable targets according to the new agreement. And the SAA don’t even need the excuse of ceasefire violations to attack them, they can do it any time they want to just so long as civilians aren’t caught up in the crossfire. And on checking the map SF published yesterday, it shows HTS occupying the position the SAA are now attacking, so the terrorists may not have broken the ceasefire at all, the SAA may have just attacked them because they’re allowed to, and the 2 towns the SAA just recaptured are also in this HTS occupied area, which means we can still safely liberate a little more territory without breaking the new ceasefire agreement. The maps show the SAA setting up 2 battlefronts now, it looks like they’re about to initiate a pincer movement to surround and envelop all HTS in this location, and if they do manage to do it, it will take the SAA right up to the new 6 km buffer, which would mean that only one very small pocket of moderate opposition would be left below the 6 km buffer. I expect to see the SAA push west from the areas they just recaptured and also push west into the locations they been bombing in Hama, that way they’ll leave an escape route north for the terrorists to flee through, and hopefully just follow them right up to the buffer as they’re fleeing.
I wan to see the thor anti-air craft in Syria Asap,the Syrian troops should learn how to use it in less then two weeks and in the fourth week ,the battle resumes.
