On November 21, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and National Defense Forces (NDF) besieged Beitima village in the western Ghouta region after capturing al-Teen and Half Shouf hills between Beitima and Beit Saber village according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
The SAA also advanced Beitima and Kafr Hawr villages and captured Sawadi hills –the 2nd and 3rd hills-. The SAA had entered Kafr Hawr on November 19, after the locals kicked Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) out of the village.
The SAA will likely enter the village of Beitima and besiege the village of Beit Saber in the upcoming days. If the SAA maintaines this speed of the advance, HTS will likely agree to withdraw from the Western Ghouta region towards Idlib governorate.
Meanwhile, Israeli sources reported that rocket alert sirens went on in northern Israel. However, the Israeli Army didn’t release any info about the cause of the alert. The Israeli Army fired warning shots against two positions of the SAA around Hadar town south of the Western Ghouta region on November 18 and 19, after accusing the SAA of violating the 1974 ceasefire agreement.
