Pro-government forces, led by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) Tiger Forces, are preparing to cross the Euphrates River near the recently liberated city of al-Mayadin and to launch an advance towards the strategic Omar oil fields, according to pro-government sources.
Reports indicate that the SAA is now securing the area of Mayadin from the remaining ISIS cells and consolidate gains in the area.
As soon as this is done, the Tiger Forces and their allies will have an opportunity to corss to the eastern bank of the Euphrates there.
If this is done, government troops will likely be able to seize the Omar oil fields before the moment when the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are able to reach them from the northwestern direction.

I hope they keep this intention quiet so that ISIS are taken by surprise and mainly so SDF don’t do anything too thwart this move.. I don’t think they can really keep this a secret. Everybody knows the SAA’s strategic goal here. They all know it will be coming. The only surprise they can hope for is where and when. And not wait too long or the SDF will be there as well.
Look I am well aware that the SDF would have a very good idea that when the SAA were first heading for al-Mayadin that they would have a good place too cross the Euphrates and take control of the oil fields. They shouldn’t be surprised if this happens afterall they did rush and cutoff the SAA at Deir Azzor to prevent them from taking control of the oil fields before the SAA were able to cross the river. In fact as soon as they saw the SAA heading to Deir Azzor they quickly changed direction and headed straight there too cut the SAA off. . Similarly ISIS should not be surprised if there is a knock on the door and when they answer it fin the SAA pointing an AK at their head. If they are then they are dumber than I thought. If the SDF crosses the Khabur river, sooner or later it will lead to an open war with the Syrian Army that could escalate into a Kurd vs. Arabs confrontation. The situation is getting very dangerous, both in Syria and in Iraq.
There is that possibility but if the SAA get to the Omar fields first the Kurds would have a hard time trying to justify an attack on the SAA in what would be a blatant land grab attempt. The Syrian airforce would surely target them if they did. Question is what would the US do?

I suspect that the matter of demarcation between SAA and SDF zones of occupation was already preliminary agreed by the US and Russian command teams: SDF did not move southeast along the Euphrates shore, neither tryed to cross Khabur during few last weeks.
Whe SAA was at Deir Ezzor, SAA made this type of announcements for almost two or three weeks until, finally, did something when SDF atopped its possible advance to north or northeast. I hope this time does not happen again the same fool tactic. With russia aerospace force, this advance can be made fast and effective, if they want to.
Unfortunately I have news that they will be re-deployed to Deir Ezzur city instead. If this is true, then someone, which I suspect to be the Russian high command, is trying to delay the Syrian govenment forces from its urgent task of reclaiming its natural resources for the Syrian people to give chance for the US/Zionists and their Kurdish slaves to take them as they did in the case of the Jaffra fields. Top priority should be oil and gas not the cities because without them Syria will not be able to get back to its feet again, give work to its people and rebuild the cities the US/Zionist terrorists have destroyed.

Iraq is about to go to war with Kurds over Kirkuk province. This will suck the “best trained” “best equipped” and “most trusted” fighters the US has in the SDF: Kurdish fighters. Most will run back to Iraq, leaving the west to hold Rojava with former Isis defectors.
