The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is reportedly repelling the large-scale attack launched by al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its allies in northern Lattakia in the early morning of November 1.
Pro-government sources confirmed that the army has recaptured all positions in the towns of Bidama and Qraymel from the militants.
However, HTS and its Turkish-backed allies are still holding positions inside the town of Tell Rasho. The army is now working to recapture the town with support from the Russian Aerospace Forces.
HTS and its allies initially planned to break the SAA’s main defense line in northern Lattakia, possibly to reach civilian areas in northern Lattakia.
In 2013 and 2014, al-Qaeda and Turkish-backed factions killed and abducted hundreds of people in attacks on northern Lattakia. Thousands of civilians were also displaced from the region, which is still largely abandoned.
According to pro-government sources, the SAA will manage to fully repel the attack in the upcoming few hours. The army could launch a rapid counter-attack on HTS’ main stronghold in northern Lattakia, Kabani.

These attacks will continue for ever since Turkey (NATO member) gives full support and weapons to terrorists in this area. Russia must allow SAA to make a full offensive on Idlib to get rid of the terrorism in this area for goo.
I really hope SAA finally takes kabani and latakia before the year is over
