The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has reached the border with Turkey near the occupied town of Ras al-Ayn in the northern al-Hasakah countryside, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on October 26.

“The Syrian Arab Army reached the Syrian-Turkish border in the northeastern countryside of Ras al-Ayn after it entered dozens of villages and towns, reaching the villages of al-Kisra and Tell Ziab Zarkan,” the SANA’s reporter in al-Hasakah said.

The state-run news agency released several photos showing army troops taking positions in Ras al-Ayn’s southeastern countryside.

Earlier today, the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that their troops are withdrawing from the Syrian-Turkish border. The group said that government forces will be stationed on the border line.

The SDF’s withdrawal as well as the SAA deployment on border with Turkey are both a part of the Russian-Turkish agreement, reached earlier this week.

Despite some violations by Turkish-backed militants, all sides appear to be committed to the breakthrough agreement that could stabilize the situation in northeast Syria.

The photo, taken on October 27, 2019, shows Syrian government forces in an area outside the key border town of Ra’s al-Ayn in Syria’s northeastern province of Hasakah. (By SANA) Clashes have been reported near Syria’s key northeastern border town of Ra’s al-Ayn as Turkish soldiers and Syrian government forces engaged in an exchange of gunfire there. Syria’s official news agency SANA reported the fighting on Sunday afternoon, saying that the clashes took place after the area came under attack from the Turkish side.

There were no immediate reports about possible casualties. The development came only three days after Turkish forces and their allies attacked Syrian government troops in northeastern Syria. SANA said the allies attacked Syrian army positions outside the town of Tal Tamr.

So they didn’t get the memo. Your always going to get some gun ho trigger happy cowboy trying to show he has the biggest balls. Isolated skirmishes here and there will happen. Unless there is a full breakout of conflict across the board I would hardly call this a major escalation…yet.

I’m more convinced then ever that this idiot klove and light is an Israeli disinfo troll, just like toronto tonto who was formerly known as solomon kupek.

Hopefully SAA reach all border passes with Iraq and SDF join them so USA will have to retreat

Sad Assas has no troops for that at all.

Icarus Tanović

Yes, that’s right boys, get it. Don’t let Erdogans regime forces NSA even meter ahead, from where they are. This will turn into theirs Yemen.

BMWA1

Interesting that the SAA is having no trouble re-establishing rapport with Kurds…makes one think they did not think overly much of so called “SDF”.

Icarus Tanović

Now they’re all part of SAA.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

As far as I’m aware the agreement between Assad and the SDC/SDF is to protect the autonomous region but that doesn’t mean the SDC has agreed to return it to Syrian government control, mmm not yet anyway, negotiations are still underway despite the fact the SAA has been deployed before a resolution is found and agreed on, there’s no time to quibble over details or neither party will stop the unstoppable Erdogan.

syrialiveuamaps reports intense fighting between the SAA and rebel SNA forces just east of Ras al Ayn.

AJ

I cant see the Syrian army leaving the border areas & now they already entered key towns like Manbij, kobane, Raqqa, taken control of the hydroelectric dams.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

No the SAA are here to stay they won’t be going anywhere. My comment was simply pointing out that both the SAA and the Kurds are shelving their negotiations for a later date, and are now just concentrating on securing as much territory as they can before the Turks do.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

Super work SAA
