Syrian Army Repelled Large Attack On Its Positions In Southeastern Idlib

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) repelled a large-scale attack by terrorists groups on its positions in the southeastern Idlib countryside in the early hours of May 9.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), terrorist groups attempted to infiltrate the SAA’s positions east of the strategic Abu Duhur airbase. However, the they were detected by the army, that killed and injured scores of them.

The SAA liberated the Abu Duhur airbase and dozens of towns and villages around it in a large-scale military operation that began in October of 2017 and ended in February of the next year. More than 700 terrorists were killed in the course of the operation.

Two days ahead of the failed attack, the SAA’s positions east of Abu Duhur were reinforced with additional units of the Palestine Liberation Army (PLA). This indicates that the army’s leadership had information about the attack.

No group has claimed responsibility for the failed attack so far. However, pro-government activists said that the attack was carried out by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its allies, which are known to be stationed in the nearby opposition-held area.

The failed attack was likely meant to pressure the SAA, that’s rapidly advancing in northern, northwestern Hama and northern Lattakia.

Artillery is the God of War and Russian Artillery experts are the High Priests for the God. :)

jorge

Sure by now there are some Syrian High Priests too.

FlorianGeyer

They seem to be learning :)

Pop over to https://syria.liveuamap.com/ for a few minutes…..

mmm, I see that the Livemap crew are still parroting the ‘schools being bombed’ nonsense , as they did in 2017.

With my pragmatic hat on, I accept that sush propaganda has always been part of war and truth is the greatest threat to propaganda.

This is of course why all nations governments detest the free internet. However a clever government realises that the truth ‘will out’ whatever they say, so it’s better to publish as much truth as possible to the public. Russia has been doing this, probably as Russians have a built in bullshit alarm from the days of the USSR.

That leaves the US and NATO gang involved in the current flare ups, who still persist in disseminating 1940’s style propaganda, with the twist that such propaganda is being prepared by a bunch of millennial kids with cut and paste skills etc. When my horse reads their Daily Telegraph reports he says ‘Neigh, this is all horseshit’. And I tend to agree with him.

You just have to ignore Liveuamap Jihadmin, and enjoy watching the red flags pop up in green territory. We have not seen that in quite a while. Some of the detail on map is good, you can spot the bomb pattern to see what area is active. :)

Forget the propaganda, we can see that some serious stuff is going on.

I have a feeling that Europe has had enough of the US led Nato.

Here is a question for you; why has the majority of European nations in NATO have such poor operational figures regards it’s military equipment, Germany even shocks me, the UK though, is close behind….. ?

I think there is a lot more going on in the background than we can see, most of it is against the US.

FlorianGeyer

Perhaps its because the military realise that Russia has no ambition to occupy the EU . That being the case, why bother to spend continuous maintenance costs on equipment that takes paer in a few parades.

Plus of course the EU military leaders realise that any assault on Russia would have a seriously negative effect on their lives. No longer would the top brass be able to live in grandeur far behind the front lines, even in a different country, in safety.

As for the US, Trump has openly been seen to cajole and bully Nato members, that previous administrations have done with a veneer of diplomacy. The EU/NATO leaders are very unhappy that the public can now see that EU/NATO leaders are just lapdogs for the USA.

Bingo, exactly.

FlorianGeyer

I sent you an email.

Russians and Syrians must be clear as to who the “terrorists” are for they are in order the U.S.A., fake Jew state of Israel, Britain, France and all their lap dogs; for until the source is confronted this will continue indefinitely.
