The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies repelled several ISIS attacks in the vicinity of Sariat Jneid, south of Liwa’ al-Ta’amin in Deir Ezzor. The SAA killed 28 terrorists and wounded 30 others during the clashes. The SAA also managed to destroy a tank and a BMP-1 vehicle and 2 technical armed with 23mm guns and seized a VBIED bulldozer.
Meanwhile, Syrian and Russian air force warplanes targeted the positions and gatherings of ISIS militants in the districts of Khasarat, Al-kinamat, Al-Erdy, Sheikh Yassin in the city of Deir Ezzor and in the vicinity of the Liwa’ al-Ta’amin, Al-Tharda Mount and the cemetery area.
US-led coalition warplanes also bombed ISIS oil facilities in Al-Bukamal and in the vicinity of Deir Ezzor city.
According to unconfirmed reports, US Special Operation Forces carried out a landing operation near the town of Al-Bukamal on the Syrian-Iraqi border yesterday during. According to contradictory reports, they arrested a commander of ISIS or they evacuated a spy as in the previous operations.
Moreover. satellite images revealed that the US-led coalition had established a helicopter base in the Mafraq area in Jordan near the Syrian border, which is believed to be used to support such landing operations inside Syria.
