The Syrian Army and its allies have repelled a large-scale assault of IS terrorists near the Kuweires airbase in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
On Friday, a large-scale assault was launched by the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group on positions of the Syrian Army near the Kuweires airbase in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. Syrian troops were attacked from the southeastern side of the military airport. However, after hours of non-stop clashes with IS terrorists, Syrian soldiers managed to repel the attack. As result, several terrorists were killed and wounded.
Earlier today, it was reported that a heavy fighting between Syrian troops, the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Jaish al-Fateh terrorists broke out in at least four neighborhoods in western Aleppo city: in Jamiyat al-Zahra district, in the area of the Scientific Research Center, and in the neighborhoods of al-Kathar al-Bazar and Family House. As result, terrorists suffered heavy losses – tens of them were killed and wounded.
Local sources also added that a tank, two explosive-laden cars of terrorists were destroyed by the Syrian Army in the western districts of Aleppo, while one more bomb-laden suicide vehicle of the group was detonated in al-Rashedeen neighborhood in the southern outskirts of the city of Aleppo.
