In northern Lataka, the Syrian Army and the National Defense Forces have been engaging in clashes with militants of Al Nusra, Ahrar Al-Sham and the Turkmen Islamic Party. The main clashes are ongoing for areas in Jabal Al-Akrad where militants had launched to advance on the positions of pro-government forces earlier this week.
After 3 days of heavy firefights, the situation in the region could be described as stable tense.
That offensive there some months ago was going great, why did they stop it? They left a pocket of rebel controlled territory near the border, too. I think this is another example of the SAA not following up on its operations and just shuffling forces around the many many fronts.
