On November 9, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) repelled an ISIS attack on its positions around the heavily fortified area of al-Safa north of the governorate of al-Suwayda, according to the al-Suwayda 24 blog.
“The terrorists assaulted several positions of the SAA and its allies in the outskirt of al-Safa today and yesterday, which led to intense clashes,” a military source told the Syria-based blog.
According to the military source, seven personnel of the SAA and three fighters of the terrorist group were killed during the clashes. Despite suffering from heavier loses than ISIS, the army didn’t lose any position.
After repelling the attack, the SAA artillery and heavy rocket launchers shelled ISIS fortifications and hideouts in al-Safa. Warplanes of the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) and the Russian Aerospace Forces also carried out a series of airstrikes on the terrorist group positions there.
This new attack by ISIS cells in al-Safa was likely a response to the recent SAA special operation, during which 19 hostages were freed from the hands of the terrorist group, leaving it without any bargaining chip in case of possible negotiations.

Fuck off wahhabi.
“Despite suffering from heavier loses than ISIS, the army didn’t lose any position.” – oh well that is al-fucking right” then.
Intense clashes with “seven personnel of the SAA and three fighters of the terrorist group were killed.” Maybe this is called intense because almost never happen something in this area.
Pity that aren’t special forces, but common soldiers doing the siege. Syria needs an entire brigade of special forces in its deserts.
the hostages were the key for isis survival …..hostages gone…isis will follow soon….please dont forget that the SAA artillery and missiles with russian airforce were “handicapped” due to the hostages….now they can deliver full power on all fronts, be it artillery, missiles or bombs…..this is over in 7 days max

The Islamic state only responds to hostile actions by the disbelievers. “According to the military source, seven personnel of the SAA and three fighters of the terrorist group were killed during the clashes. Despite suffering from heavier loses than ISIS, the army didn’t lose any position.” Next time they should say that our snipers targeted their prominent commanders and one of them died.
