The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) repelled a large-scale attack launched by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its allies in northern Lattakia on November 1.
Syrian pro-government sources confirmed that the army managed to recapture all the positions it lost in the first hours of the attack, including the strategic town of Tell Rasho. Dozens of Syrian service members were killed or injured while repelling the attack.
In what appears to be an attempt to cover-up their failure, al-Qaeda-affiliated HTS and its allies of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) claimed that the offensive was only a large hit-and-run operation.

Activists affiliated with HTS and its allies revealed that the militants originally wanted to overrun the SAA’s main defense line in northern Lattakia, possibly to reach and attack civilian areas in the region.
The failed attack prompted a strong response from the Russian Aerospace Forces. Russian warplanes carried out on November 1 and 2 a series of intense airstrikes on militants’ positions in northern Lattakia, mainly around the town of Kabani.
SAA units in northern Lattakia may launch a military operation to counter the growing terrorist threat in the region. Such an operation will be aime dat detering HTS and its Turkish-backed allies.

SAA wasting time in kabana . SAA should start pincer attak from Huwaiz area and also from kafr nabuda goin north to round up kabana and jisr shogur . it will be faster then this attaack direct on kabana. But once SAA start attack from huwaz and kafr nabuda they should not stop till they reach latakia allepo highway
