The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) repelled a large-scale attack by terrorist groups on the town of Jalmeh in the northern Hama countryside in the late hours of June 8.
Muraselon, a Syria-based pro-government news outlet, said that the SAA destroyed a suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (SVBIED) that had approached one of its key positions in Jamleh. The army went on to recapture all the positions, which the terrorists had managed to sneak into earlier.
The Turkish-backed National Front for Liberation (NFL) and several al-Qaeda-affiliated groups participated in the failed attack, which was led by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). The attack was reportedly launched from the nearby village of Tell Meleh. The terrorists recaptured it from the army once again.

HTS’ news network, Iba’a, said that the terrorist group’s fighters are still clashing with the SAA in northern Hama. This indicates that the group is determined to go on with its attack.
