The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) have repelled the Turkish-led attack on its newly-established positions in the northern al-Hasakah countryside.
The attack, which began in the morning of November 9, was carried out by the Syrian National Army (NSA) with a direct support from the Turkish military.
Turkish forces planned to capture the village of Umm Sha’Fah, northwest of the town of Tell Tamr. However, army units managed to hold onto their positions in the village with support from the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) released a video showing some of the clashes with Turkish forces around Umm Sha’Fah.
At least three Syrian service members were killed and many others were injured in the battle, which lasted for several hours. Three Syrian journalists were also injured.
The Turkish-led attack was yet another violation of Ankara’s recent agreements with Moscow and Washington, which imposed a ceasefire in northeast Syria.

He was playing starcraft. Just mixed the team. Now he is getting his ass kicked. He can’t see what is real and what is in his nose.
As I said before, turks are getting beaten by the SAA.
Yes and no in the same time Turkish military is very powerful military They are NATO’s allies..unfortunately Sooo it have unlimited supplies They are not using real power against Assad military, if they will do Assad wont stand a chance , that’s a fact… Men to men fight Turkey won’t stand a chance against Assad, but … Turkey has overwhelming military assets Air power in special Turkey can own the sky over Syria if he wants, If you control the sky you control almost everything..
Turkish F-16 are an easy target for S-300!….
In my view, they are not so powerful but extremely large.
Yes, a cold “borsch”. Tasteless.
They LOOK powerful. In fact, on the battlefield, they proved themselves weak. Being in NATO means nothing, since NATO is a defensive alliance. If they attack first, NATO is not bound to help them. And even if they would ask for help, it is required an unanimous vote from the other allies. Greece, also in NATO, will never vote for Turkey. Their air power will be depleted in a full war in the first 24 hours. They don’t make those planes and those planes needs parts to fly. That is a general problem for any military who is not producing its own arsenal. On the other hand, fighting an extensive war with Syria, will bring them on a war with Russia. Anyway you take it, they are doomed.
Nice video of a Mexican stand-off.
