The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has resumed operations in the strategic Hawsh al-Dawahra area in the eastern Ghouta. The SAA is trying to push opposition fighters out of the orchards in the south of the eastern Ghouta to enforce them to accept an evacuation agreement similar to Aleppo’s case. According to opposition sources the Syrian Army has begun attempt to advance in Hawsh al-Dawahra after intensive aerial bombardment that was targeting militant’s HQ and fortifications in the village.

However, Jaish al-Islam has managed to repel the attack and destroyed a T-72 tank during the clashes.

From its side Jaish al-Islam has launched a series of limited operations and demonstrations aimed at dispersing the Syrian Army. It has targeted SAA points on the Homs-Damascus international highway as well as its fighters have destroyed a 14.5 mm. machine-gun upon one of SAA points in Meda’ny. No causalities reported.

It is expected that clashes will escalate in the eastern Ghouta in the coming days, especially in Qaboun district on Homs-Damascus International highway and in the town of Hawsh al-Dawahra in the eastern Ghouta where the SAA is trying to resume its progress after overcoming the confusion of the battle of Joubar and Hama battles.

And again, no helmets to be seen on the heads of these SAA soldiers! How many casualties could have been prevented during those 6 years of war?

Expo Marker

Remember that the SAA has a shortage of many materials, as they have been used up or stolen, and sanctions don’t help replenish supplies.

But if you see photo’s of for example Hezbollah troops, they all wear helmets. If the Russians can send “lot’s T-90’s”, see https://southfront.org/photos-lots-of-t-90-main-battle-tanks-supplied-by-russia-to-syrian-army/, a basic item as a helmet should not be that difficult to obtain. Some religious reason?

This thing not just happenned in syria but in iraq where they got many bling2 weapon but some of them still dont want to use a helmet, so it more personal preference and their command didnt force them to use it

Arab culture is highly fatalistic. If bad shit happens, then God has willed it. if not then God be praised. It’s pointless to resist faith.
