On July 23, the Syrian Army retook a post of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) at the village of Al-Rafeed in the area along the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
Militants handed over the village of Al-Rafeed and the UNDOF post to government troops under a reconciliation agreement previously reached between them and the Damascus government.

You don’t need the UN or Israel in Golan, it’s Syrian territory.
It never ceases to amaze me how so many justify the theft of land by Israel. Invade and take this bit, then another bit, just like Hitler did. Israel should suffer the same fate as Dresden.

Who cares if they do or don’t. Let’s not get bogged down in semantics here. Let’s just look at this as a significant achievement, they retook the UN observer post! That’s farkin awesome! Mwahahahaha
Just a question. If the UN had a property or an observation post IN ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD and it was taken over by terrorists, ask yourself “what would happen ?”.
The terrorists taking over this post was “authorized”, so no military action took place.
Diversion much – Israel was quite content with, and actively paid wages to maintain, militants operating up to and inside of the 1974 division lines – ensuring no UN observation presence.

the reinstallement of UN observers would be a very positive thing.
at least the UN would have no excuses to deny knowledge of israeli war crimes and violation of international law in the area.
