In a new violation of the Russian-Turkish demilitarized zone agreement, radical militants attempted to launch attacks on positions of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) around the towns of al-Zalaqiat and Mahardah in the northern Hama countryside on December 1.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reporter in Hama confirmed that the army had foiled both attempts after killing and injuring several radical militants.
Hours after the failed attacks, militants shelled residential areas in the towns of Suran and Tell Bazzam, which are also located in the northern Hama countryside. In response to this violation, the SAA artillery shelled several positions of the militants killing and injuring many of them.
These repeated violations of the demilitarized zone agreement may force the SAA and its allies to launch a limited militantly operation in northwestern Syria soon. Recent reports indicate that the army is already massing its troops in northern Lattakia, northwestern Hama and around the city of Aleppo.
They should also say it will probably be a joint Russian/SAA/ Turkish operation to eradicate HTS militans in the area. Get ready HTS, your former friends the FSA are now your enemies and they’re now helping your greatest enemy. That must make you all feel pretty crappy, how’s the morale going, are you all excited and raring to go, if your not you’re not going to last long. I’ve been predicting it might only take 2 weeks to wipe you all out once the SAA and Russia make a start, but with the Turks and the NLF helping, you might not even last that long. Make it easy on yourselves, you don’t need to die, it’s time to pack up and head to Saudi Arabia, think of your families YOU EVIL MORONS, what are they going to do after the Russians bomb you to death, the SAA blow you up or shoot you, or the ex FSA fighters you once fought beside, slowly torture you to death just for the fun of it, after they capture you.
Violation, after violation, after violation, to the infinity. Wonderful, Turkey-Russia peace agreement…..wonderful for the terrorists but not for Syria people,
The agreement is surely a failure. The militants have not been forced to withdraw from the designated DMZ and important urban areas inside the Syrian Arab Republic continue to be assaulted. It is more than six weeks past the deadline. This deal was a Turkish stunt to protect her proxies and Russia has went along with it because of the geographical challenges of Russian operations in Syria and importantly, Russia has been bought off by Turkey with a gas deal, pipeline deal, building nuclear power plants and the S400 purchase. With Turkey now becoming a most important customer of Russia it appears that the Russian government is now fine with the long suffering people of Aleppo paying a part of the price in blood for protecting this commerce. I understand it, what with Russia being in a wider confrontation with the United States and both the pipelines and the S400 being important frontlines in Turkey of that confrontation but still,…damn.
