The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) launched on November 15 a large-scale attack on Turkish-occupied areas in the northern al-Hasakah countryside, according to the Xeber 24 outlet.
The news outlet reported that the joint forces had recaptured the village of al-Manakh from the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA). The attack is now focused on the villages of al-Faysaliyah, Umm Sha’Fah and al-Arisha.
At least 50 Turkish-backed militants are now reportedly besieged by the SAA and the SDF inside al-Faysaliyah. Turkish forces responded to this with intense shelling.
“As a result [of the shelling] there were one martyr and two wounded from Syrian regime forces,” Xeber 24 reporter reads.
A day earlier, SNA militants advanced in northern al-Hasakah, capturing al-Arisha and several positions around it. The attack was backed by the Turkish military.

These repeated attacks by the SNA in northern al-Hasakah violate Turkey’s recent agreements with both Russia and the US. Ankara expressed dissatisfaction with the implementation of both agreements.
