Several units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) clashed with a group of ISIS fighters, which was moving in the Damascus desert on February 14, according to the Damascus Now news outlet.

The clashes forced the group to withdraw leaving behind loads of weapons, including a Konkurs anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) launcher, several RPG-7 launchers, several machine guns, mortars, ammunition of different calibers, a satellite communication system and two vehicles.

The group was likely trying to smuggle these weapons to ISIS cells near operating the northern al-Suwayda countryside or in the Homs desert. The Damascus desert stretches between both areas.

A day earlier, warplanes of the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) carried out a series of airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in the area of Kiribat al-Hosn in the Damascus desert.

According to local sources, the terrorists have increased their activity in the desert, especially near the administration border in the northern part of al-Suwayda province. SAA sources believe that ISIS may be planning to launch a new attack on residential areas in the southeastern governorate.

Now it can rot away in a Depot.

You can call me Al

They get immediately tested and then sent to the troops. Get your facts right.

PZIVJ

ATGM and RPG are worth the effort, along with sealed ammo. Not sure about the rest. :)

Gregory Casey

It can be transferred to Hezbollah free of charge :)

The Farney Fontenoy

‘fraid Putin won’t allow that! His buddy Netanyahu would get upset!

Promitheas Apollonious

finally the european and americans tax payers, I hope they beginning to understand where the money they dont have go every year. I am sure their muslim brothers in arms laughing their way all the way to the free gun deports specially made for them. You come you get armed and paid on top.

Zionism = EVIL

The million dollar question is, why is Russia not bombing the terrorists in their desert staging areas?

Fred Dozer

All the eyes in the sky, and they seem blind. Not the first time. When Russians were killed by US bombs, no reconnaissance, in this day and age.

John Whitehot

“When Russians were killed by US bombs”

You mean, when you forgot to take the pill that helps you to make reality from bullshit?

Fred Dozer

Apparently your memory is slipping. WHAT HAPPENED?A YEAR AGO Report: U.S. Forces Killed More Than 200 Russian Fighters in Syria Attack.

Anthos

Take that pill. Since when did Russia start concentrating hundreds of their troops in Syria in a single spot? Have you seen a video or picture where there has been even 10 Russian soldiers or contractors in one place?

Fred Dozer

So this never happened. Good News. Link below

https://southfront.org/u-s-strikes-and-scores-of-killed-russian-fighters-in-syria/

Mainstream media outlets and social media are full of reports that on February 7th hundreds of Russian private military contractors (PMCs) died in US-led coalition airstrikes on pro-government forces in the province of Deir Ezzor. Various sources provide different numbers, but one of the most popular versions is that between 100 and 600 PMCs were killed.

John Whitehot

my memory is fine.

it happened only in pentagon’s bullshittery.

Fred Dozer

The incident in question occurred on the night of February 7 and early morning of February 8, when Syrian government forces—backed by Russian mercenaries employed by CHVK Wagner—attempted to capture an oil refinery near the Syrian city of Deir Ezzor. After Russian personnel came into contact with American troops stationed there, the U.S. forces responded with artillery and airstrikes. Two to three hundred dead russians Why no recon or air support is the question ?.

The Farney Fontenoy

Russia’s goal is only to keep Syria from collapsing, not keeping it stable. Putin honestly doesn’t care if Assad stays or goes (he publicly said he didn’t mind who ran Syria) so long as Russia’s interests aren’t threatened.

John Whitehot

“staging areas”

Lololololololololololol.

aleksandar jakovljevic

Now it is time for inteligence services of rusia and syria to work ,they mast find futures problems and targets of terorist,it is time for informacions of any kind before the end of .

Gregory Casey

I don’t suppose the sudden reappearance of ISIS in the Damascus Dessert has anything to do with the fact the Israeli Border on the Golan is so close? Or am I being mistakenly delirious?

PZIVJ

Is closer to Al Tanf, doubt you are delirious on a weekday. Small units of Daesh rats like to run around and hide in desert areas. SAA trying to control these areas is a waste of resources, but wish they had more recon drones.

John Whitehot

“According to local sources, the terrorists have increased their activity in the desert”

It seems that their activities have been instantly decreased by the action of the Syrian Army and AirForce.
