Last night, the joint militant forces launched a military operation in order to retake the strategic town of Kisnsibba from the Syrian army in northern Latakia. The militants claimed “rapid advances” and released a propaganda video:
However, the Syrian army repelled all militant attempts to seize the city and now pro-government forces are securing the area from vesiges of militant units.
The Syrian army liberated Kinsibba and nearby vilalges on July 16. The areas had been controlled by the joint forces of Al Nusra, the Free Syrian Army and Jaysh Al-Fateh. Since that time, Jihadists have been trying to re-take the town.
