On August 19, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) expanded its control around the area of al-Safa, north of the governorate of al-Suwayda, thus increased the pressure on the besieged fighters of ISIS in the area, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
The SANA’s reporter in al-Suwayda said that the SAA artillery shelled several positions of the terrorist group in al-Safa. The reporter added that the SAA is targeting any ISIS fighter who attempt to sneak out of the area.
A day earlier, special forces unit of the SAA’s 1st Division ambushed a group of ISIS fighters around al-Safa. As a result of the ambush, 5 terrorists were captured and several others were killed.
The SAA is currently working to free around 30 civilian hostages, who were abducted by ISIS from the eastern al-Suwayda countryside earlier this month. Once the hostages are freed, the SAA will be able to neutralize all the remaining terrorists in northern al-Suwayda and the Damascus desert.
Desperate, starving head-choppers briefly resort to cannibalism – go back to eating bugs. “This brother tastes like… spoiled pork. The barbecue sauce does nothing to hide the rancid jihadi flavor. Snackbar… I would give my AK-47 for a nice, juicy centipede.”
