On Friday, troops of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) liberated 3 more villages from ISIS in eastern Salamiyah.
According to pro-government sources, the SAA and the NDF entered Abu Tababir, Shindaghiyah Janubiyah and Abu Tarrahah after a series of firefights with ISIS members. The villages are located in the southern part of the ISIS-held pocket.
On Thursday, government forces secured an important pipeline in the northern part of the pocket after the SAA liberated Qalib Thawr.
