On August 9, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) exchanged artillery fire with Turkish forces in the northwestern region of Greater Idlib.
The SAA artillery pounded positions of Turkish-backed militants in the towns of Kansafra, al-Bara and Almaouzrah in the al-Zawiya Mount in the southern Idlib countryside. The army also destroyed a vehicle near the town of Tadil in the western countryside of Aleppo with an anti-tank guided missile.
The Turkish military and its proxies responded within a few hours by shelling positions of the SAA on the frontline with the al-Zawiya Mount. No losses were reported as a result of the Turkish shelling.
Two days ago, the Turkish military carried out similar artillery strikes on SAA positions in the city of Ma`arat al-Nu`man in southern Idlib.
According to a recent report, the Turkish military and its proxies are bracing for a possible attack by the SAA on the al-Zawiya Mount. Large reinforcements are deployed in the region, that overlooks the Lattakia-Aleppo highway, the M4.
The recent Turkish strikes are clearly meant to deter the SAA and its allies. These aggressive acts are only encouraging the remaining terrorists in Greater Idlib.

The never ending Idlib saga.
Even more sad knowing it could have ended 2 years ago. Before Turkey was given Idlib in hope it would work with Assad to end all terrorist and integrate in Syrian state control and pull out of Syria afterwards. What a sad joke.
Only way they will leave is to be blasted out,i mean they are still in Northern Cyprus FFS.
maybe we assist to a strategic planning from SAA..I hope so and wish them success!!
