The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) uncovered loads of ammunition during a search operation in the newly-liberated part of the northern Hama countryside.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) said on September 21 that the ammunition was found in the vicinity of the town of al-Zaka, a former stronghold of so-called Jaysh al-Izza.

The ammunition included at least two Konkurs anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), rocket-propelled grenades, anti-tank mines, heavy improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and dozens of mortar shells of different calibers.

Two Konkurs ATGMs.

Earlier this week, the SAA found seven mortar cannons of different calibers and other weapons during a similar search operation around the newly-liberated town of Kafr Zita in northern Hama. The weapons had been left behind by Jaysh al-Izza militants.

Jaysh al-Izza is known to be one of key allies of al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). The group lost most of its assets and dozens of militants during the recent SAA operation in northern Hama.

A long term consequence of all the weapons and ammunition that the US Coalition of Terror have abandoned all over Syria will be the ‘treasure troves’ of equipment, that when found, could easily end up in the hands of criminals or the innocent hands of children playing and exploring.

It could take decades or even generations to find these caches, and even then the risks of more will still be there as there can be no definitive clearance.

Yes, the rats will have buried mass caches here and there. The instructions of how and where must’ve come from above, so in theory at least there are many “treasure maps” in existence to uncover these caches. They were buried to facilitate future destabilisation efforts, so presumably they are meant to be found in good condition. I’m sure this is how the daesh-loonies in the Homs desert and Deir Ezzor manage to operate fairly continuously. But who has them? CIA is a strong candidate.

You make good sense indeed. Having a central ‘caretaker’ for the locations of these weapons cache’s is an essential and secure part any terrorist insurgency.

Not the most impressive find ever but enough to make a few ‘barrel’ bombs out of.

Erdogan observation post reinforcement. No Turkey forces in Syria no more terrorists in Syria. This will result in no need to have SDF.Also no more false reasoning of Israel and incursion.

Expell Erdogan and terrorism will collapse.False Russian interference was created by warmongers to keep Trump and Putin apart.Putin must replace Erdogan with Trump.

Saud Arabia dont like Erdogan and Satanyahu it just that their are scared of USA warmongers pressure.Shia and Sunnis like each other but false warnings and labeling Shia as Iran influence by France and Britain cause chaos and divisions to rule Middle East on trible lines.Just seaphoning oil and gas.

I wonder who donated the toys, as the US and 30,000 trucks of aid, so comes to mind?

There again, not forgetting the nations that fund and support the White Helmets. No doubt, they were also very generous with their donations.
