The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) uncovered loads of weapons and explosives during a recent search operation in the eastern Daraa countryside, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on December 11.
According to the state-run news agency, the operation covered al-Musayfrah and Oumm Oualad, two of the largest towns in the region. The SAA found a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) as well as several booby-trapped motorcycles’ fuel tanks.

Army units also uncovered light weapons and military equipment, including assault rifles, sniper rifles, landmines, hand grenades and communication systems.
The eastern Daraa countryside has witnessed a series of terrorist attacks targeting the Syrian military and local armed groups, which joined the reconciliation process last year. In the most recent attack, that took place on December 7, a Syrian soldier was killed by ISIS cells.
Working with old anti tank mines looks a bit hazardous. Good to put this little IED workshop from hell out of business. :)
