Few moments ago, the Syrian Army’s Tiger Forces and the National Defense Forces (NDF) repelled a major attack by the joint terrorist forces (led by Jabhat al-Nusra) on the strategic town of Ma’ardas in the northern part of Syrian Hama province.
The Jabhat al-Nusra (new brand – Jabhat Fatah al-Sham) & co launched this counter-attack early on October 17 in order to regain Ma’ardas from the pro-government forces. However, they have failed to do this.
Now, the Tiger Forces and the NDF are in full control of Ma’rdas and the nearby areas. Ma’rdas is strategically located at the Hama-Aleppo highway and, controlling it, the government forces are able to successfully develop the advance in the direction of Suran.
